In need of cobweb blowing before Coleys so popped into a very busy Barbury this am, sadly no Fiocchi Fibres so tried some Hull 100 Sporting (7.5s) no comments to make on the cartridge (hit stuff broke no better no worse than Id want them too etc) other than they did seem to throw a lot of "confetti" for those of you that have used is this the norm with these?
 
I have sadly grown to realise over the last year or so that Hulls quality control has in my opinion gone down the drain. There cartridges have become dirty and un reliable. After having recently had an issue with the green ink coming off some of the aforementioned cartridges you have and sticking itself to my k80’s stock I am now having Fiocchis delivered from just cartridges as it’s easier and cheaper than going out to anywhere near me that stocks them. I’m only one person but I will vote with my feet.
 
I like the S100 but have noticed the confetti affect seems to be increasing of late.

Also use Soverign and pistons but seem to notice it on those .

Out of curiosity - Is that legal in the UK? At my end of the channel a certificate can be (and in several cases I know of was) revoked for leaving munitions unattended. It has to be kept in a safe, or has to be in the shooters personal possession. If in a bag prior / after shooting where the shooter can see the bag: Okay. In a locker in your gun club? Okay. In the boot of your car, while car is in the parking lot? Not okay. Wife finds a 12 G or even a 22 cartridge in your shooting jacket, places it on top of your safe and you happen to get a FEO visit? Trouble.

As for the OP, I assume the "confetti" are pieces of fibre wad. I wouldn't be worried as long as the wad is in one piece before pushing out all the shot. If you think it's already in tatters before that point I'd wonder about the effect, but still not worried if you are breaking the clays in the way you should.

In my experience of “confetti” it appears to be more unburnt powder than premature breakdown of the wad. Especially when looking down the barrels after. Lad who I shoot with got a slab of black gold on the way to a shoot and the box felt damp. Like cold to the touch never seemed to warm up if you know what I mean and after putting 100+ through his gun it looked like he’d been burning coal 💨
 
I’m finding that with Hull Superfast. A lot of airborne litter. Going back to Fiocchi as soon as these are gone.
Both sad and glad it isn’t just me. It’s hard to get fiocchi near me as my local places are staunch Hull and Gamebore. With a couple of slabs of Eley if they are feeling exotic. So I have to order from Just Cartridges.
 
Spare a thought for the situation the cartridge manufactures are in.
They are struggling to get enough components and continuity of supply to meet demand so are using what they can get, especially powder which is in very short supply.

I stock Fiocchi and they are working hard between the U.K. and Italy to try and improve availability of product, especially the litespeeds which are very popular.

Yes, that’s legal in the U.K. You can pretty much store them anywhere, unattended or otherwise.
