Good to hear that all is well ! Best wishes to him,his contributions are much missed here ,along with many other interesting members who have drifted away....
Had some real quality leather work done by his daughter,is she still working at it ?

No she is driving an HGV now ! 😆 He is selling up and hoping to move nearer to her very soon.

I can vouch for the fact that his dog is still plodding along, and so is he. His dog is 10 now and although her spirit is willing.........! As a result, he is thinking of giving up shooting altogether. It will probably be my last game shooting season too, I am like his dog (except for sniffing lampposts 😄). I am trying to get him to come clayshooting with the group I shoot with. One of the group is a Doctor, which is handy at our age. We shall see. I shall pass on your kind regards. We are shooting on a flatland shoot in January, his house move permitting.

And long may you both continue , on Saturday I declined to swap pegs and I was still coming back up the hill while the rest were in the pub so I feel for you !
Thank you, I have had over 60 years and five gundogs in my game shooting career and shot virtually every species of gamebird, except Capercaillie. I also achieved a right and left at Woodcock. I no longer have the same enthusiasm for game shooting, so maybe the time is right to hand over to the next generation (my 2 Grandsons), and stick with the clays. Now if I can just persuade Ips to take up clays again.......
