Hi This is my first posting here so please be gentle with me.
I am an old geezer who is still fighting fit, got my own hair and teeth and I have a couple of shotguns stashed away in the gun safe.
I used to shoot with a s/s hammer gun at a small straw bale clay pigeon shoot which folded up in 1986. There were 10 of us who scrounged a field from a local farmer but for some reason the club folded up. I was nagged rigid by the other shooters to shoot with an O/U and I gave into them and bought a new Miroku 7000SP1 about 3 months before the club folded. I have not shot since so it's a certainty that I have put less than 1000 cartridges through it.
I had the gun checked for gun fit by a "proper" gun repairer and he deemed it the perfect fit and it is multi choked.
I am retired and intend to take up shooting clays once the weather improves.
So the reason for being here is simply to ask, would you advise to keep the Miroku or should I buy something new with all the gizmos and steel proof barrels etc. The gunsmith advised keeping the old one.
Your advice would be appreciated.
