Question about MSA Sordin electronic ear muffs

Well I tested them out today and they are absolutely fantastic, better than I ever expected. The sound deadening is excellent and they are so comfortable with the gel seals. Highly recommended.

    Game or Sporter

I am looking at the 525 sporter or 525 game. What is the difference between these? They are both multi choke. One is 3.1kg and one is 3.5kg. Would 3.5 kg be light enough as a game gun?

    Game or Sporter

This question may have been answered in the past but I am wondering, if you were to have just one gun to do a few clays (never more thsn 50 in one day) and also to shoot game would you opt for a sporter or a game gun? I like the appearance of the game guns more but would they give me any...

Question about MSA Sordin electronic ear muffs

Hello I am thinking of buying a pair of the MSa Sordin Supreme ear muffs, I am just wondering if the gel cushion upgrades are worth it? Do the gel cushions help to reduce the sound level even further or are they just a comfort thing?

Looking for a left hand gun

That's very interesting finners I have read about people ending up with shoulder problems due to using right handed guns - something to do with the angle of the recoil I think. Although someone did tell me that browning and miroku have little or no cast so I shall have a look and see how these...

Looking for a left hand gun

Thanks everyone, looks like I will just have to keep on looking and hopefully something will turn up. If left handers are this rare then maybe the best thing would be to get a good one straight away and keep it rather than buying a cheaper one now to have to trade it in a year or so.

Looking for a left hand gun

I am looking around for a left handed gun. I posted a question about silma guns recently but having been to look at them I have decided they are not for me, What could I get with a budget around 800 and where are the best places to find good second hand left handed guns?

Ear Protection for people wearing glasses

To those people using the Msa sordins, how loud is the gun shot that you hear when wearing them?

Ear Protection for people wearing glasses

Thank you everyone for your input. I think my choice is either msa electronic muffs with the gel pads or the hock filters which sor recommends. Sor - when wearing the hock filters how much noise do you get from the actual gunfire? Would these be ok on a game shoot where you need to hear the...

    Silma M70 Shotguns

I have spoken to a dealer who informs me that Miroku guns are very straight in the stock with no cast and are an ambidextrous gun.  Is this true?

Ear Protection for people wearing glasses

As I wear prescription glasses all the time i am wondering whether this causes a problem with ear muffs in that the arms of the glasses my stop the muff from sealing properly.  Can anyone recommend the best hearing protection. Also i am getting mixed messages regarding custom in ear protection...

    Silma M70 Shotguns

Thanks Les, I had a feeling that this may be the case.  What kind of gun would you suggest for a beginner to learn with.  I am restricted on choice due to being left handed.

    Silma M70 Shotguns

Hello I am in the process of looking to buy a first gun.  I recently obtained my licence and have been looking around to see what is about.  As a left hander it is difficult to find something suitable but I have noticed there are quite a few Silma M70 guns on gun trader brand new for around...

    Best Ear Protection?

Thanks for the input Jasper, VicW and Mr Potter. Jasper - good to see another vote for the passive moulded ones. Vic W - You are starting to make me even more worried! I already fear for my ears but would really like to do some shooting. I am now considering an option of getting some of the...

    Gun Cabinet Installation

The actual wall of the chimney gets warm to the touch when the woodburner is going in winter and it does warm up the cupboard a bit - its not like an airing cupboard though. Will this be a problem at all - i don't intend keeping the cartridges in there, they will be locked away seperately...
