I've learned very quickly not to go shooting just because it's Sunday. If I don't feel particularly well or if it's hammering down with rain then I see no shame in staying indoors, I'm also lucky that I do shoot a fair bit so never feel like I'm missing out.

If I could choose Cheryl Cole to be anything, it certainly wouldn't be my mother.  

I used about 15000 Velocity+ from June 2015 until September/October last year. I really liked them, killed well at all ranges with minimal recoil. Shooting the DTL Elites now which are even better, not much between the cost of the 2 either. 

Spent the whole of today with Mum. Started off at the garden centre, then stopped to see the grandparents on the way home, give the lawn it's first cut and a few other bits round the garden then went out for dinner. Managed to get out yesterday and did 300 practice cartridges at Sporting...

I shot this early doors with 2 others, got round in a reasonable amount of time, bit of queuing but not too bad.  Finished on 91 which I was happy with especially after missing 5 on stand six, the rest was pretty tidy though

They certainly do, it opened last Sunday. Looks really smart in there, they put a lot of work in getting it right.

Great move by them for putting the cut through between Harry & Moaner so you can bypass grouse, rather than having to walk all the way round. 

That's where being left handed was an advantage, I could hold further back and got to shoot it almost as a crow.

Their heads aren't insulated against a 36g, 1 non-toxic load.

I would, and after bringing down a duck on a shoot at 80 yards this week I can see why people want to shoot higher/extreme birds.

Yep, I was struggling with teal and driven a bit when I saw coach last November. A couple of minor tweaks saw me put right very quickly.

My specific aim is to get to AA by the next cut-off in June, if I get there then that would be going from nothing to that in 2 years which I would be proud of.

It's a personal thing and also one of the best parts of the F3 'system' you can have it exactly how you want it. You can take all the weights out from the stock and not have any on the barrel, or you can have them all in which makes the gun nearly ten pounds.   Personally I've got both weights...

Another lesson learnt today; 300 registered targets in a day is too many. Started off at Horne with an ordinary 83, then on to Southdown for the sportrap first for an 80 then I shot the sporting course quite well for an 85.   It's left me feeling mentally drained, I should have just gone to...
