I do recall a FITASC at Southdown one time, where there was a trap right in front of the shooters, throwing a no-spring going away that just flopped 8 yards out and sunk like a stone. The whole squad missed it. Would have been easy gun up.

I know what you mean, but didn’t find it that bad. Granted there were a few simpler looking stands and I’m distressed since, because I face-planted on some of them, can’t think why. (Straighted 4 and 5). Poor score for me, felt like a wasted opportunity. Just proves closer stuff can catch you out. 

I only missed 1 in fairness, on first pair. As ever, the rule is look at and shoot at 1 at a time. (Happy coincidences of breaking both with one shot are just that).

I doubt it’s the locking lugs if a tap on the floor sorts it.    The only issue with my idea of taking the gun in jammed is proving it’s not containing live shells. Bit of trust needed there. Or does it do it if dry fired?

I prefer it when there is a total problem like yours has. Clearly something is set wrongly from new (or has fallen off). I’m sure it will be obvious once pulled apart. It’s worse when something is occasional or sticky. If it were me, I would shoot two cartridges through it and take it in there...

2x Teague titanium flush chokes for Blaser F3. (Also F16)? Barely used.    I bought these to very effectively reduce muzzle weight, compared to extended steel Brileys, so they are a great way to tune the gun feel in that direction. They are about 14g each. I no longer have the gun is all, so...

That’s what I said. Why get used to them if they are to be withdrawn. But in this case, I’m fine with it. 

Just FYI, I was given some of the new Gamebore 50th anniversary cartridges to try today. I shot 4 then had to stop to pick up a few teeth.

The form that the doctor completes does specifically say that they are not asking the GP to state whether they think the patient is fit to hold a shotgun certificate. They just want some medical facts, so it really shouldn’t be stressful for the GP.
