    BIOR or Fibre?

I do believe you are more than correct in your assumptions on pattern size.  My trouble is, as an Engineer..... I need to know. I'm patterning on Friday, and have shells to try against my Superb 7.5.  Im rather hoping that there's no difference. That way, I put my hand in my pocket and shoot.

    BIOR or Fibre?

That I will. I just wanted an opinion from all you find people before I go out and spend hard earned on shells. I've about 40 pattern plates and you'd be surprised at the difference. A very expensive brand, put 20% if the load on the paper. Not convincing at all!  Mark my words, I'll pay for...

    BIOR or Fibre?

Morning all, So I'm back to shooting a fixed choke gun, Mk38 trap for English Sporting.  After patterning about 30 cartridges, I'm settled on shooting Eley Superb plastic 7.5's and ELEY Federation 6,5 for extraneous targets. Both shells give me about 80%patterns at 40yds. On a recent shoot, I...

    Good In Ear Protection

Morning all, I want some good moulded In Ear Protection for shooting.  Some that have electronics in would be an advantage so I can speak to my mates.  My existing ones after 7 years are on their last legs.  Naturally, I don't want to pay the earth!!!! Many thanks

    RIO Star Team EVO

I'm hearing some really good things about this shell. Anybody shot them and are they European shot sizes 8's (True 7.5's)?

    Anybody Shoot RC Cartridges?

My current supplier of shells stocks RC's.  I've not shot them, except at game and they were fantastic in my mk38.   I see they have quite a range of shells.  RC4 EXCELLENCE; RC4 HYPERFAST; RC4 EXCELLENCE "THE ONE" Currently, the Pro-ONE is the shell I'll be shooting based on how it shoots and...

    mk38 A'La Tim Greenwood

So for slimming down the forend, reshaping the handgrip, rechequering both, fitting a new recoil pad and then putting his bloody amazing finish on to it, you are looking around £500-600. I also had an adjustable trigger, serviced it, and then had the chokes matched to just under Light Full both...

    mk38 A'La Tim Greenwood

So then, Mr Greenwood has done work for me previously and I was seriously impressed. This time I am Seriously impressed more.  I have had a Std MK38 Grade 5 adjusted to fit me.  Adjustable trigger and the grip modified and the forend slimmed down and refinished, the only way he can do it. Boy...

Eley Superb vs Lyalvale Power Gold Vs Hull Sovereign for Sporting

Great shells ELEY. I've shot them for several years and SUPERBS and TITANIUMS have been my shell choice through my Perazzi and my Browning 725.  The patterns were so dense, I had to use them.  I shot them through 3/4 choke (measures 3/8th) in the Browning, and 5/8th in the Perazzi.  Smoothest...

Eley Superb vs Lyalvale Power Gold Vs Hull Sovereign for Sporting

So then, I've just sold both my Browning 725 and Perazzi HPX and gone back to an MK38 trap.  As the gun is fixed choke I wanted to pattern it to ascertain which cartridge gave the best patterns; In order of pattern density within a 30" Circle at 40m all shot through my 3/4 choke; 1;  Hull...

    Browning DS Chokes Again

Cheers for your positive comments on my findings. Another friend of mine is using 3/8th in his Beretta Dt11 and he needs no more. His breaks are awesome.

    Miroku Mk38 Adjustable Trigger

I've had a Pro trap. 725. Great patterns. Triggers? Naff. I've gone back to the inertia trigger. Much better.  And as for that sideplate.... I'll be having one stock dimensions depending.

    Miroku Mk38 Adjustable Trigger

Cheers. I guess I will have it on the furthest forwards position all of the time to be honest. Good to know.

    Miroku Mk38 Adjustable Trigger

Awesome thanks. I'll get on to it. I just need the trigger moving forwards a little that's all. Loving the gun again.

    Miroku Mk38 Adjustable Trigger

Just dropped myself back into an Mk38 Trap gun again...... and wonder why I left in the first place.  I love it.  All it needs is a 1" pad and an adjustable trigger.   So then, anybody know where I can get one?  As its a browning (essentially) surely we should be able to get one retro-fitted...

    Piston Type shells

So then, I'm back to shooting a fixed choke Mk38. 3/4 Full chokes.  I shot a superb at a damp bank at 20yds and had a steering wheel sized pattern.  I then shot a Fiocchi f3 Bior at the same damp bank and lo and behold, the same size pattern.  Highly unscientific of course but I'm happy to...

    Piston Type shells

Morning all I now have a fixed choke trap gun and wanted to know what Piston type shells are out there.  I've shot the Fiocchi Biors which are great.  I know a chap who shoots the hulls in his MK38 trap to great effect as well.  However, I am interested in 21gram and 24gram fibre shells with...
