    Eley Titanium

I'm a Geordie.  Therefore inherently thick skinned.  In fact I don't need a recoil pad........it just bounces off me.......😏.......as does most things associated with common sense.....😃 As a Magpie........if its Big and Shiny......I need it!!!

    Eley Titanium

Titanium update; Bought 800 Titaniums off a lad who didn't get on with them.  He'd had them since last year and said they were 'Bumpy'.  I've shot his for the past 2 weeks and I have to say that he was right.  They're too punchy!  My other ones which came from the factory in June this year are...

    Unbelievable

Here's my 50 pence worth......... I have been in this situation several times before, where a target came out at a different angle.  If I shoot at it and miss it, I always go for the 2nd target and accept the first target as a loss.  However if the target was sufficiently 'out' .......I always...

    Caesar Guerini Guns; - Opinions?

Cheers Westward.  I'm shooting a Browning Pro-Trap very well at present and that is now my go to Clay gun, but I still shoot a trap gun better than a sporter (I like a flat comb).  The Guerini would seem like a pretty enough gun to take on a game shoot

    Caesar Guerini Guns; - Opinions?

Cheers for that.  I'm sort of 'thinking' about a sideplate trappy type gun to use for game.  The one I picked up at the weekend at 8.5lbs would have worked a treat.  I didn't shoot it however, and thats where the secret lies.....

    Caesar Guerini Guns; - Opinions?

So then, Seen a Guerini Maxum which was a trap gun and I picked it up and it fitted me a right treat.  Does anybody shoot one?  What sort of reliability do they have?  How good are they and do they pattern well? Thoughts, Opinions are welcome.

Great you dont have that problem Will. I can vouch for std shells at range. I have got my selector switch the wrong way round, and instead of shooting 9s and cylinder at a fast driven,.......I've shot that barrel at a 70yd midi teal......and broken it....several times.......badly.....but broken...

    Eley Titanium

Yes I did.  The Eley Superb gives an 80% pattern within the 30%, so the barrels and tubes pattern tight.  The half patterns spot on at 60% with an ELEY Superb.  The Titanium throws a tighter pattern than the Superb. Funny thing is.......the 3/4 choke measures the same as a 3/8th, but patterns...
  9. Geordieboy

    Eley Titanium

Thats what I said. This gives 80% within a 24" circle. So its tighter..........

    Eley Titanium

So then, I've been shooting my Superbs for some time now as my go to shell for everything.  As part of my purchase, I bought 1000 Eley Titaniums to use for those extra Big or long Slow Edgy things that sometimes pop up on Sporting shoots.  Prior to this, I patterned the shell at Sporting targets...

Morning all, Anybody got a Cylinder INVECTOR DS CHOKE they'd care to part with? Cheers

Sporting Shoots; where- and how was it? (2018)

Shot Kingsley Moor yesterday.  15 of the targets were all dropping or fired downhill.  Very edgy at times and bloody awful to shoot to be fair.  I shot my average, but didn't enjoy the targets at all.  Good practice if dropping targets are your bogy bird, so I took that from it.  But not...

eley superb felt what else compares

Shot with a lad yesterday who only shoots fibres due to his shoots being all fibre.  He was shooting 2x Half chokes in his Blaser and to be honest, his Superb Fibres rinsed everything.  Here is a bloke that wants to get rid of that gun, but to be fair, the cartridges suited the gun.  Not once...

Sporting Shoots; where- and how was it? (2018)

Shot Doveridge. Tricky and very testing course. But the hill at the end with 100 shells and a heavy gun and bag killed me.   I dropped 14 targets over 4 stands and ruined my card.   That bloody hill!!!!!! I'll remember that for next time.  I must lose 2 stones and get really fit before I go back

    Browning DS Chokes....Hmmmmmm

The "Crap" matters to me..... I am now happy to shoot 2x 3/4 chokes, even though they measure as 2x 3/8th. The episode removed doubt. So it was a worthwhile exercise....for me.  Most think I'm full of sh1te......but I think this removes some of it 😉
  17. Geordieboy

    Browning DS Chokes....Hmmmmmm

This is Half choke. 63% of pattern at 35m. That's a true Half choke pattern and once again, nice and even. All the same I've just bought another 3/4 choke as that's 80% at 35m. I'm all set! I think a pattern plate is a real boon as it tells you where you're shooting, and how the cartridges...

    Browning DS Chokes....Hmmmmmm

For 18yds, I'll pop in a SKEET choke.  Thats as simple as I can get.  But yes, I was more than happy with the breaks and patterns for sure.

    Browning DS Chokes....Hmmmmmm

So then, Patterned Browning Half, 3/4 and Light Full chokes using Eley Superbs 7.5s at Sporting targets over easter at Sporting targets.  Shot them at 35m.  I haven't included the Half choke as it was so sparse I treated it with disdain.  The 3/4 choke came in at 80% dense and shooting 150...
