Last night I rather sneakily opened another box of 8's and cut a shell open....just in case I was wrong the first time........ nope.....I wasn't.  Perfectly hard round 2.09mm diam shot in the 8's.

Theyre 9's but a UK 8.5. Hope this helps

Jury's still out on the 8's (only because they are 8.5 shot), but there is no doubt how hard they hit yesterday out to 50yds.  Clays shredded.  I'll shoot another few 100 birders and then make my final decision on how I wish to go forwards.  certainly the 7.5s gave a string of breaks on...

I know an England Verteran who routinely wins shoots and his class with a fixed 3/4 Full Mk38 trap.  At sporting he uses probably 70% - 80% of his cartridges as Hull Pro Pistons.  they work a treat in that gun.  It gives him a slightly more open pattern for stuff out to 35yds.

Thats a cracking pattern that is.  I went to Anglo Italian over at Tanworth in Arden.  They've got a delivery of Over 250k shells coming in shortly. I now shoot Eley however for those interested they've got literally 'Tonnes' coming in.

In my perazzi, Cylinder is more useful.  It will readily shred out to 20yds.  The negative is good to 15 I'd suggest.  I tried to shoot a quartering rabbit with it at 20 yds and broke it into 2 pieces..........3 times.......and missed the 4th.

Figured it out.  I have a Negative choke......It throws a 3ft pattern at 15yds......Its unbelievable! 😎  I feel like Grandpa Joe with a blunderbus now!  How it does that I will never know!  But it does!   Gun is now set on 2x 5/8ths, with the Blunderbus when need be.  Patterns are brilliant...

So then. Shot 2 great shoots today. Longridge then Garlands. 1st shoot with Superb 7.5s 2nd shoot with Superb 8s. My perazzi was fitted with 2x 5/8th chokes. These Superbs are just about the best shell I've had through it. Smooth and hard hitting. I drew smoke on loads of the targets which was...

Top chap! Thanks for that. After drawing smoke today with std Superbs, I think I'll just shoot those. Perazzi barrels like being fed Superbs.  Also ordered 1000 Titanium Strikes for the long stuff. 😎

Anybody tried the VIP Traps in 7's? Or the Titanium Shells? I like a box of tight Trap shells for long edgy stuff.  I usually buy 1000 of that type of shell in my load of 15000.  I always use them!
