    Perazzi query .............

Yes that gun looks as though it has been looked after well enough from those photos. I am sure the gun was reintroduced as the "Vintage" model with beautiful case hardening colouring on the action saw a couple of them at Lonato the other week lovely gun. I am a fan but I do not think you can go...

    Perazzi query .............

It is an old MX8 but age is nothing to a well looked after Perazzi. The gun must have been lacking blueing or had rust on the barrels so someone has polished them. If it is cheap then it could be worth getting some work done on it ... but it would have to be very cheap to be worth while as these...

Cartridge price increases now getting silly

Went to Fruttuoso today great selection, better than Concaverde, of cartridges and a euro a case cheaper... have to drive 28km more to get them though 🤣 I will however be going there to buy some to take back to France because they have a load of different 28g makes for FU.

Cartridge price increases now getting silly

At Lonato today and bought Fiocchi black at €70 good price when get up to T4 carts you are talking 80 € still very fair compared to what I have to shell out in France.

How things have changed on here.

I think the problem is bone grinding on bone... it is a difficult thing to solve normally you have a smooth bit of cartilage to avoid pain .

How things have changed on here.

My biggest problem is lifting the gun and closing it then opening it again after the shot. I have always closed the gun as I lift it up to my shoulder.  The strain on the wrist is quite bad but in fact the real problem is that my Scaphoid joint is , according to the consultant , "completely...

How things have changed on here.

Like everything in life people move on. I personally will always be indebted to IPS, 40UP rip, Les53, Wonko , Hammy rip, Greg, Nicola and others I may have missed . When I came to the forum I was a beginner old and eager to learn I knew nothing about what I was trying to do.  Amazingly even...

Cartridge price increases now getting silly

When I started shooting here in 2012 the cost was 29€ per slab but if you bought 1000 they knocked off 4€ . I would be interested to know what prices are like in Italy now because last time I was there before COVID I could buy Clever, Fiocchi, Cheddite and others in T3 format for 55€ per slab...

Cartridge price increases now getting silly

I have just gone on to Decathlon France and the cheapest cartridges there are coming in at € 292 per thousand  which is an increase of 92 € on the price at this time last year 46% increase in one year ... if the trend continues the sport will be dead inside the next three to five years. I have...

    RIP ...40up

Hi Ian  I am very upset to hear this news. I have just logged on to the site for the first time in more than a year and this is just so sad to hear about. I was frequently in touch with Fred when I was really getting into shooting bigger competitions he had a huge knowledge of the sport and...

Cartridge price increases now getting silly

Prices have gone totally stupid here too! I just looked at Decathlon for their cheapest the T100, which is a popular and decent cartridge, 62.95 per carton so in real money for you £217 per thousand... they were about €50 or  £172 at the beginning of the year. I may be at Lonato later this year...

    Can you/one shoot too much?

I have the exact opposite problem snice COVID restrictions I have found it very hard to get back into the groove. I normally would shoot 4 rounds every weekend plus competitions but this season I have shot less than ten rounds total since the beginning of February . I think a lot is down to...

Brewdog Brewer Supports Wild Justice. Please Read this....

Bunch of ******s the lot of them!  The whole Brewdog image is based in reaction... has been since day one. Thankfully I make my own and would rather drink undiluted pish than their beer... and I am Scottish !

    Loud or soft??

Alexi Alipov is the man for a moving gun... amazing shooter... don't think he does DTL though 😂 Guy down here uses a refs whistle to call the target😂

    Another price increase

So far as I can see here in France most of the newcomers to the sport are upwards of 35 with a good job and disposable income... more than likely the way it has always been . Younger shooters are in a distant minority funded by the bank of mum and dad who have disposable income ... again I...

    Another price increase

Cartridge prices at Decathlon have just jumped about 10 %  the cheapest cartridges now are €231 or about £192 per thousand.

How much is too much ?

Said it many times before because our clubs are member run and owned our shooting is way cheaper... but the targets are exactly the same as at any other UT or OT  venue I pay €3.50 for 25 targets , which in sterling is £2.90 or 11.5 pence per target Even at the best trap ground in Europe the...

    Another price increase

Best I can do at the moment is at Decathlon. They do a Solognac 28g 7.5 for  the equivalent  £170 per thousand which is good value. I have shot straights with them and know many people who shoot them I think of them as being a bit like any T1 cartridge. Let us be honest it is very rarely...

Premium cartridges - are they worth it?

I think it was €30 last year so it is a balance whether you take out a card for the club, clearly if you shoot fewer than 20 rounds it is not worth doing. I get my shooting license via the club and shoot many more rounds than 20 so it is a no brainer. Another thing with the club is that if you...
