    Choke key recommendations??

Mine are just wound up solid beforehand. That's it! Never checked them on a shoot cos they're nipped up every time I clean it or loosen and retighten the chokes, every 4 or 5 shoots or so. I'd forget to do it, so would rather have them proper locked in, and so far never had an issue apart from...

    This is the new discipline.

Standard sporting: 10 birds in pairs of some sort, miss the first 5/6 getting your eye and the range in from the 2 traps, hit some of the last 4 birds.  Super sporting: 10 birds in pairs of some sort, miss all 10 getting your eye in from double the number of traps, hit sweet fa and wonder what...

    Choke key recommendations??

Like friends who have extended chokes and are constantly tightening them by hand between stands, do yours ever slip, cos I prefer to fit & forget for 500/1000 odd shots or until I clean the gun? Do NOT want a nice bulging barrel because of summat I don't necessarily need to be constantly...

    Choke key recommendations??

Thanks guys, I'll check it out. Always been a bit twitchy about not getting a choke out again after you've tightened it once and then put a shedload of shot through it, the fear of the trip to the gunsmith for removal, but never been told how many shots is it reasonable to leave it in for...

    Choke key recommendations??

Got the proper Browning choke key for a 525 sporter one, invector plus chokes (below), and unbelievably one of the 4 little METAL notches that slot straight into the chokes snapped off! Not loads of use, but expected the plastic on it to give waaaay before the cast metal bit?! Anyway, phoned...

    New to clay

Only advice I can give is, in relation to your last comment, there will be a point where your shooting will take a decided downturn and you'll wonder why you're shooting sh*te all of a sudden, possibly for weeks or months on end... Every single person here has gone through it, and may well go...

Premium cartridges - are they worth it?

And that's for plastic, at a guess! Dahn sarf, you're looking at a bit less than that for your cheapest fibre cartridges... Your Hull Superfast & Fiocchi TTone. 😕

Premium cartridges - are they worth it?

Worth it if you can tell yourself it is. Otherwise it's your chokes that caused you to miss. Or your glasses. Or your jacket. Or the time of day. Or the seat of the vehicle you arrived in. Or your wife/husband/partner's last comment. Or finally your cat/dog! :)

Gun cabinet / safe, tall enough for 32” shotgun

Pretty sure mine was Facebook Marketplace, but did look on ebay.

    No surprise

Nope, but I would like to think that any sincere, thinking, conscientious clay shooter ONLY loads their gun when it's over the bar and therefore only ever pointing downrange, and adheres to all the rules of decency, etiquette, and common sense regarding gun usage when around the stand, including...

    No surprise

Don't get the link between this and stopping gun crime, which is what we're discussing here. I personally don't have insurance for mine and don't particularly feel a need to, but I don't see how either having it or not will stop a lone wolf committing such attrocities. If someone is going to do...

Gun cabinet / safe, tall enough for 32” shotgun

Just get a second hand one where the matey can give you measurements beforehand, it'll be fine. I got a Buffalo River 3 gun one for about 40 notes. Edit: I have a 32" B525 with extended shims in the buttpad to take it well beyond normal length cos I'm 6'3", btw.

    Good In Ear Protection

Moldex 6451 twisters. Not custom molded but been using them for years, nothing fancy, literally cheap as chips, easy to put in and remove, brilliant sound protection, nothing to hit the stock,... and I've tried quite a few types/makes with my job as we have pumps screaming for hours on end and...

    First Gun

Admittedly, Will says I'm a bit of an anomaly with regards to this, but I've had a B525 since day one and I still feel no intention to change it for anything else so its not always just a sacrificial starter model. 🤷‍♂️

Who the blinkin' flip distributes Browning / Miroku in the uk?!

Hmmm, strange. I spoke to what could only have been BWM judging by what you're all saying a few years ago when I first got my 525 and the guy there was incredibly helpful and sent summat out free of charge. Possibly how times change?!

Who the blinkin' flip distributes Browning / Miroku in the uk?!

Sure someone on here mentioned it recently, but can't find it for love nor money. Isn't BWM Arms anymore I don't think, as their website appears defunct, but I just can't find anything online? Any ideas?

    First Gun

Can get the stock altered to fit an adjustable stock easily and not much, couple of hundred, so don't rule out something just cos it hasn't got one. My 525 doesn't, and I think about getting it done every now and then, but then I decide to spend it on summat else instead as it goes bang okay and...

    Another price increase

Even so, unless you have that 1970s potting shed mentality where you have hours free where you want to get away from the wife/husband, the sheer man hours spent doing it would surely be huge compared to paying someone else 20-30p for each one produced?
