But you don't drop out in degrees at all though, it's either full down or full mount? (mate, I've only been shooting two years, I'll still take every bit of advice I can get! :D )

 Makes it easy dragging a 525 round though... that would probably be my next gun too, just I'd go absolutely mental and get, wait for it... an adjustable comb!! Woooo!! :D  

Lloyd, interesting in the mount on face before shoulder bit that you're expecting stick on, but do you ever shoot shoulder in and face off stock for a sliiiightly quicker bird where you don't have time for the full fitasc type, stock out of shoulder mount? As an example, watched a few BH videos...

And warranties aren't always transferrable, as was the case with my 3 year old 525 which originally would have come with 10 years... so not a huge issue for me when I got my first.

Sometimes it is that obvious... to me, Berettas seem made for those of the spindly handed variety and not for the likes of me with Bowyers finest for digits.

Which is why I'm not sure how on earth people gauge whether a gun is better for them or not than something as basic as either a 525 or a 686 (sausage fingers or slim jims), cos I surely can't... they all just feel slightly different, no better, no worse. And that's why I can't see how a gun can...

And I think a 525 Sporter One is only about £1600 or so brand new so can be gotten fairly easily for around a grand second hand.

Yup, I just scanned the web, guntrader, gunstar, etc. and found myself a bit of a steal as far as I'm concerned. Turned up, and exactly what I was hoping it would be. Sold!

Churchill were quite friendly when I was looking and they have quite a few s/h in the shop which they seem to be happy to allow people to test round the ground. Browning B525 should also be on your radar, especially if you've got chunkier hands.

They were very helpful when I phoned them about the scope on my Weihrauch.
