Was this the one where it took 4-6 hours to shoot? I wasn’t there I should add! Trying to recall from memory.
Ill try to be there on Saturday anyway, it’s a rare treat being able to shoot a weekend registered there!
That sounds like a great weekend!
EJC have the SxS as well as a normal registered don’t they? Does anyone know if they’ll be separate courses this time or is it likely to be a nightmare like last time?
Thoroughly enjoyed shooting the Pro One Challenge at Barbury this weekend. Extended BBQ on the Saturday lead to a fuzzy start on Sunday due to tiredness.
This week sees the August instalment of the Ian Coley Summer Series, followed by a real plethora of shoots on Sunday. I think I'll be at...
Will and Jonz have hit the nail on the head with their comments.
As you're in Kent you've got one of the countries top shots on your doorstep who has his own ground and coaches.

It's very rare a weekend goes by where he isn't wining something from a normal...
I went to Honesberie on Sunday. I would normally visit Grange as well but I had a lunch reservation so even doing the one was a rush. This showed a bit as I managed to miss two clays on Every. Single. Stand.
Very sloppy! Ended on 78. Really enjoyable course and I think the course setter has...
Made the journey up to Garlands today for the 120 bird semi auto shoot combined with a normal 100 bird registered.
Shot the auto shoot first as wasn't feeling great so wanted to do the fun one in case I didn't feel up to both. It was really great fun! I ended up on 99/120 which (when I handed...
Real world user here. Really like them, I have the 1st gen electric modules. The new ones are meant to be even better (haven't tried them yet)
@Jason Gibson is 'the man' behind Vario and offers a 30 day money back guarantee, can't really go wrong.
Started at Grange shooting by 9:45 and flew round, no waiting at all. Fairly tidy card apart from one 5 pair simo stand where I dropped 7 (completely addressed them wrong - down side of being first in to a stand!). Finished up on 81.
Down to Honesberie and felt like everything had clicked (must...
Honesberie have their main shooting school which is open on Saturday, you're limited to 21gm shells there though.
Otherwise Barby and Edgehill are good shouts for the Saturday PM
It seems like i'll be swimming against the tide here but I really enjoyed the round at Ian Coleys on Wednesday. Yes, I had a good day (84) which always makes you remember it more fondly but there was real variety to the targets, using ground that I've never set foot on and targets that were all...
I shot the masters Comapk at Doveridge on Sunday; really enjoyable shoot and a discipline I need to practice more. Ended on 82 which in that game, even in C class, is about 10 light 🤣
Today is the first actually summers day (judging by the weather out of the window) for the Ian Coley summer...
Had a recent spell of good shoots where the grounds had set some different and interesting targets. The main ones being the Ian Coley June shoot and then the premier league at Honesberie.
Today broke that spell with a first visit to Kegworth. Considering the level of events they host I was...
Personally. I leave a pair of 3/8th choke in (occasionally change to a cylinder if it's silly close) and shoot 8's at everything. If I miss I can guarantee you it's because I missed, not a problem with chokes or cartridges.
Went to Longridge to shoot the 'Super Sporting' on Saturday. Really enjoyable course that was certainly a couple steps up from a normal registered. Some targets that needed quite a gap. If you shoot the more long range pool shoots there then you will know the sort of big long crossers I'm...
