    British Open, Garlands

Agree with above, refs doing a fantastic job and need to be paid accordingly and yes, ladies, colts, juniors and vets etc should pick their category and stick with it. I must admit that most registered shoots I do ask if I want ladies, class or vets 🫣😂😂

I think the weather was quite bad the day they shot, it’s pot luck when you book weather wise.

    Aftermarket pads for adjustable stock

When I had my MK38 I had the green ISIS pad fitted with no problems at all.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

Barbury too for us and was great to see Will and highlights of my day were shooting with MartinJ and a cuddle from the lovely Fred. Apart from that nothing much to say apart from the fact I shot so bad it was unbelievable! Started well then wheels fell off. As Will stated it was unbearably...

    budget starter gun

Maybe an older Miroku? I had mine for years, never let me down, truly reliable and not too expensive.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

I saw on FB another class winner also only got £27! No high gun prize and they were only putting £3 of the entry fee into the prize fund. This is why a lot of people are doing targets only at certain grounds.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

Was a good shoot, just took forever and the stands weren’t numbered, we done 1 and 2, got to next stand, stood there forever to be told that was 11 and 3 was further down!

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

Bisley for the reg sporting for us, seemed like it took forever to finish (nearly 3 hours) and got a bit fed up towards the end! Shot ok, finished on a 77 which would’ve put me joint first but yet again, my scores and another person in our squad have not been put on the Cpsa website. The other...

    LOST ELECTRONIC EAR PLUG

If anyone has lost an electronic ear piece at Barbury yesterday (Thursday) - I found one near the trade stands by an empty car space so I’m assuming someone has dropped it out their pocket, got into car and driven off. I spoke to Swatcom trade stand and they said it wasn’t one of theirs so I’ve...

    Hull Pro One at Barbury

I found an electronic ear piece at the ground yesterday afternoon. It was by the trade stands by an empty car space so I’m assuming someone’s got in the car, it’s fallen out pocket and they’ve driven off etc. Took it to the Swatcom stand and they said it wasn’t one of theirs so I handed it...

    Hull Pro One at Barbury

We shot today, good layout. Only 1 target in grouse butt that was a pain being short and a couple of harder stands to sort everyone out but enjoyable, took ages to get round for some reason though, started at 11.10 and finished about 2.45 ish. The usual close at the end of your gun target on...

    Shooting glasses

Have had both and would opt for Rangers all day long. I have to have inserts for my prescription and had the Rangers with about 6 lenses. They were dead easy to clip in and the insert was glass and never moved and the picture was excellent. During lockdown I got suckered into buying a set of...

Looking for someone to shoot with

Hi Amy, glad to hear you finally got your licence and are having a go, well done! Bebo above is a good and helpful shot so maybe try to get to Willow Farm and once you go and meet people the more mates you’ll find to shoot with. Good luck, if you lived nearer to me (Tunbridge wells area) I...

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

EJC for us too, enjoyed the course but again the wooden structured stands done for me, especially 12, I could hardly see the teal before it disappeared. I stand as far back as I possibly can safety wise but find it hard. Had a nightmare on 6, the l-r low blaze and r-l high crosser, only hit a...

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

AGL for us too, not been there for years, only 7 away until stand 8 the sim pair Will mentioned and came away with a 4/10 but was tricky and didn’t see anyone hit it well. Didn’t like shooting from the wooden surrounded stands. Stand 6 the dropping duck and r-l the ref could see I was having...

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

It was one of the harder stands but I think it was just the overcast/cloudy weather that made it harder for me to see, I was swapping lenses which I don’t normally do but tbh my heart wasn’t in it for other reasons. Saw some squads have no problem with it but most of our squad struggled on...
