Which surely renders the key safe pointless - or am I missing something?

Why have a key safe? Seems highly insecure to me as all the bad guys have to do is take your key safe out to their van, cut it open and bingo! they can get at the guns. I've always thought hiding the keys is the best plan as surely no thief wants to to waste time searching. Just pick somewhere...

Yes it's very sad to lose one of the good people. It must be 5 or 6 years since he was a regular around the west country, but I'll always remember him as a friendly, talkative and honest competitor. A real character who enjoyed his shooting and the company of shooters.

When I was reffing I had the pleasure of witnessed Paul in action on a fair number of occasions. He's a top flight shot and I agree with Jasper that he's a worthy winner. The only thing that surprises me is that he hasn't won more big events.

Like Daz says, don't expect to just go out and buy a gun for the long term. No one ever gets away with that and It's 10:1 you'll be looking for a change within 12-18 months. A good used mid range gun from any of the big names will serve you well whilst you get up to speed and start figuring out...

You're probably right. I know pretty well zero about trap and skeet.

You can see the bore centre is in a straight line back to the shoulder thus no muzzle flip. You can also see that his eye/rib relationship is pretty normal. I realise it's not an OT gun but there was a French competitor at the Olympics with a similar set up on an O/U.
