    Does weight matter??

In my experience, weight matters a lot. I sold my ProSport due to my age and old injuries. I bought a Classic Doubles which is 1lb lighter. I was shooting reasonably well with the ProSport, but in a 100 bird sporting layout, I was probably dropping more targets on the last 4 or 5 stands than...

Ips still alive and kicking !

Thank you, I have had over 60 years and five gundogs in my game shooting career and shot virtually every species of gamebird, except Capercaillie. I also achieved a right and left at Woodcock. I no longer have the same enthusiasm for game shooting, so maybe the time is right to hand over to the...

Ips still alive and kicking !

I can vouch for the fact that his dog is still plodding along, and so is he. His dog is 10 now and although her spirit is willing.........! As a result, he is thinking of giving up shooting altogether. It will probably be my last game shooting season too, I am like his dog (except for sniffing...

Ips still alive and kicking !

If anyone remembers a past contributor to this Forum, Ips ? I was shooting with him yesterday, he sends his regards. He has had a respiratory issue, but is back up and about now. We had an excellent day near Carnforth, game shooting, and he is an excellent host.

    It's not a shotgun 'licence' ...

Does it really matter ? It is still relatively easy to lose it, Licence or Certificate !

    Quick question

NO. I feel sure the Manufacturers will have an RFD. (Registered Firearms Dealer). They will have booked it in. Should the Police require to know the guns location, they can check with them.

    It's not a shotgun 'licence' ...

Most of those involved in gun crime have neither 🙄

    Beretta Stock Height

Do you throw the hardware in the same shed that is full of barrel weights ? Let me know when you require a scrap metal merchant..........you could have a lovely goldfish for it ! 😄

    Beretta 694. How ... , please?

If you use alkanet or 'red' oil first, it will soak in quickly, but will enhance both the grain and the colour of the wood. Apply that daily for the first week, or until you have the right colour of your choice. Then use a reputable stock finishing oil, to perfect the finish.

    Fioochi fblu prices

Yes indeed, I would suggest that the component prices have dropped significantly, but we will never see that reflected in the cartridge prices. However, I think that the F Blues prices are competitive, for a really good cartridge.

    Understanding shotkam video

Bits can most certainly come off a clay and NOT be noticed. When I ran a shooting ground, it was quite common to find clays with as many as 5 or 6 holes in them, but they remained intact. I have seen dust coming off orange clays but they were not broken.

    Teaue thin walled chokes.

Thank you Steve. I really only bought the gun for the Trap stock but it will also act as a back up gun to my Classic Doubles clay gun. The Sporting stock on the CD is too low and a bit thin in the comb. The Monte Carlo Trap stock that also came with the gun is too high. The Winchester has a...

    Teaue thin walled chokes.

THAT is if they are Teague chokes ! Nigel Teague originally had a partner, they split and the partner continued to make and fit retro chokes. I think they were called 'Pro chokes' and were made in the North of England. They are no longer available, but there is a lot of guns out there fitted...

    Teaue thin walled chokes.

Thank you, I thought that was the case. These are unmarked, except for1/4 and 1/2 etched into the choke, near to the muzzle. They are certainly after sales chokes, as the gun would have originally been fixed chokes.

    Teaue thin walled chokes.

Does anyone have experience of Teague thin walled multi chokes, fitted as an after sales to a fixed choke gun. I am looking at what markings Teagues put on the tubes, to identify them for any additional choke orders. Thanks.
