Of course you can shoot too much.  You def need to take time to eat and sleep properly or it will affect your shooting.

If someone like the above tells you that you have too many guns just stop listening to that person. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

So what is the best sort of sock to use?  I mean, wool, cotton, poly, some blend of those?  And which side does the knot go on?  Is it different for left-hand shooters?  And color?!?!  OMG ! ! !  so many variables ! ! !  Should it be Scotch-Guarded so the wet doesn't affect it?

I shoot relatively short stocks and my hand is just in front of the iron.  Me and the gun are more compact that way and I turn faster.  I also shoot light barrels.  I definitely prefer light, fast guns.  Heavy guns and heavy barrels are a drudge for me.  JMO of course but pigeon guns spoiled me...
