Ah I’ve not explained that / muppets usage very well, you are indeed correct variofocal lenses for shooting does not work at all. My prescription lenses are set for the distance setting only.

In defence of AGL today they were hosting the National InterCounties English Sporting, so may have been a bit / tad busy, there is also much to be said of dealing locally with such a major purchase

Am also a variofocal glasses wearer, it’s ridiculously expensive to have prescription lenses let alone same in multiple colours, if you want multiple colours then contact lenses & regular shooting glasses / colour options may be your only viable choice. In my own experience prescription lenses...

I have no experience of the first three on your list, Coleys which I’ve bought from previously has changed a lot in last few years, Barbury ( as mentioned by MrJonz ) I can recommend. Do ring in advance they are most accommodating with demo guns, very decent cafe too.

Its the grounds error, they should be following the “rule” regarding such an event.

Would imagine it’s human error entering data into score programme, easily done on a big day, and if required a query raised at ground or later with CPSA any error easily corrected too.
