    CPSA Level 1 Instructor Course

Who is "his lot" ips? I'll be doing the Lantra course. I don't need to spend the best part of £1000 to teach someone how to hit a moving target using the CPSA method. I just want a basic certificate. I dont shoot the CPSA method exactly. I use a modification on it with more success.

    CPSA Level 1 Instructor Course

It shouldn't cost £175 for that then should it. If I was looking at a Uni course they'd assess me for free and tell me the content of the modules before charging a fortune.

    CPSA Level 1 Instructor Course

But what is the Instructor Development Workshop all about other than a money making exercise.  I've never had to pay to find out what the next level is all about and to be assessed, for any course I've ever done!!!! If I was to fail the CPSA would loose me as a customer as I wouldn't be forking...

    CPSA Level 1 Instructor Course

I have an interest in doing a basic shotgun coaching certificate so I can instruct new shooter at a friends shoot. Do we have any CPSA registered coaches on the forum or any CPSA representatives that can justify the costs and irrelevant prerequisites. To do a Level 1 course at £695 you have to...

    Coat for Cocker Spaniel

Search for Outhwaite coats. I still wouldn't use one on a dog when it's out exercising, only before and after for me.

    Coat for Cocker Spaniel

I wouldn't hunt any dog with a coat or collar on.

One eye, both eyes, does it matter?

So, what I don't understand now is, if you shoot the Churchill method i.e "at it" with a moving gun, you must know when the barrels are pointing at the target to be able to pull the trigger at the correct point in time on your swing. If you can see this relationship then seeing lead is just an...

One eye, both eyes, does it matter?

I don't think catching a ball is a good example, you don't give your hands lead when catching a ball, you get them there before the ball arrives. Catching a ball involves two objects, the ball and your hands (I'm counting hands as one object) shooting involves three objects, the moving target...

Taking a gun from the rack without permission

In the words of Goldie Looking Chain.... I'd agree with this. The only gunrack I've ever used is that on the stand I'm currently shooting, unloaded of course.

    New classifications

I'm not sure how it all works. I've shot one round of skeet (93) and I've been given a B class. Moved to B in Sport Trap and have only shot 250 Sporting with one of those rounds being the same as Lloyd with a similar outcome by the sound of it so I'm still in C. I really need to make an effort...

Taking a gun from the rack without permission

Definitely don't want our local cubs following the above prices. Even Bywell at £6.50 per 25 is a steal. I was paying £5 for a round of skeet or ABT and £7 for 40 sporting at Derwent Grange over the summer.

    clay shooting on tv

I though she was going to take a bite of the stock each time she shot. If clay shooting is ever goung to be a tv sport it's going to take someone like Sky to invest in the technology to bring us better action shots. It was so gloomy I couldn't see a single clay until it was hit. Shotkam...

    Sporting Practice

Both Ben and Ed are Leicestershire based. When I went to see Ben first, Ed was also coaching. I shot a round of sport trap with them both after 2 hours coaching and went in to meltdown!!!! As I said above, Ben's methods have improved my shooting so rather than cluter my brain with conflicting...

    Sporting Practice

As Maria is probably finding now, you will get more advice than you can process and your probably watching more YouTube clips that all say different things. I done this for a good while with little improvement, consistency was awfull due to the overload of conficting info. I came across Ben...

    Targets for New Shooters

I don't disagree. On the few occasions I've been asked to help a new shooter I've found it very difficult.

    Targets for New Shooters

If you were showing new shooters how to shoot what target presentations would you use.  I often see a slow high incommer used that can be rifled at it's peak. Although this gives instant satisfaction, is it really a good target to start on as it's shot with an almost still gun which contradicts...
