Bead for me always, although I'm not looking at the gun I am totally aware of my bead to clay relationship.

I don't see how your eye's can't take the information of the background in even if it's your peripheral vision. Isn't this how course setters try to fool is in to thinking the clay is doing on thing when it's actually doing something else? 

The target appears to slow down on that clear 'Sky' background where there's no reference points, put a tree line in and they'd still be going fast.

He's far from thick! I've asked localy and eveyone knows George, he's made plenty if money from his businesses over the years. I think making cartridges is almost a hobby business.

But no one ever shoots a gun clamped at the action, it's clamped against your cheek bone or there abouts.

Hi George, tell us about your competition cartridges and current prices.  I'm at Consett but never seen or shot your catridges.

This proves ian's point. The poi required to break the 2nd clay remains the same so if you point the gun at the same place as the 1st clay you could miss above. You as the shooter change your poa.

Agreed, a good routine should help you setup to reproduce the same shot. All easier said than done though or we'd all be AAA shooters. I'm still new to competition shooting and over thinking half way through a stand can hurt my scores.

Just put the required number of cartridges in the pouch + 3 more.  Most pouches are split in to two or three sections from what I've seen

On a sporting layout how would you repeate the shot if you weren't aware of lead. How would you correct a miss if you weren't aware of the lead. Choose a kill point and stick with it. If you change your effectively taking X number of different shots at the same clay. You might get away with it...

Just picked up 5000 for a friend who's opening a new clay shoot 1 x skeet layout, 1 x ABT and 1 x Sport Trap. Paid £168 per 1000.

I never even consider the speed of a cartridge, should I ?????? what difference to my shooting will it make?
