Tomorrow I am going for a practice and decided to start with chokes 1 step up to 1/2 and 3/4 to see what happens and a round of skeet with 1/4 and 1/4. Not much of a step up but it should be interesting

I was think the same yesterday - should I practice with tighter chokes to try and assess whether over leading/behind or just plain rubbish 😐

Most places I shoot require fibre now so I only buy fibre. I like the performance of Hull Intercomp HV 24g fibre. 8's if I can get them otherwise 7.5's.

I think I have 2 or 3 One an original DS extended and I think I have 1 or 2 black Teague extended.

I did have a 2nd hand B391 a few years back and couldn't hit a barn door with it, no idea why and my gun-fit was checked twice. Sold it and bought the Franchi. The Franchi is very good but very light and very whippy. My pondering continues.......

Interesting responses.  I have a Franchi which is not a dedicated sporting clay gun and I am considering changing it to something specifically designed for clays. Beretta and Browning seem top so far followed by Benelli.

Went for a practice shoot today and immediately felt that the 3oz in the stock have made a difference. The gun moves better and the barrels no longer feel front heavy. The balance now feels between the hands and more fluid. Thanks and I am very grateful for all the advice.

I took out the extended Teague chokes and put in the Browning flush chokes and although there is a very slight difference in feel it is pretty small. I didn't have time to add weight to the stock so that will be my next review. The provided flush chokes are skeet and full so still not sure I...

Interesting about choke weight, mine is the Teague Sporter which came with extended steel chokes. It came with a couple of flush fit Std Browning chokes as well. I'll test the feel without chokes and then fit the flush chokes. Not sure I want to do a round with them though as I think they are...
