Fair point. I am now just using the chokes supplied by the manufacturer with the gun when bought so all parts of the gun and chokes should be guaranteed.......... I hope!

I had a similar issue with a Browning DS Teague choke, spoke with Teague and they sent me a replacement one, problem solved. So far very impressed with Teague chokes

Really, no wonder.  and that is probably why grease is recommended.  I follow the guns manual and oil my threads lightly and never had an issue, but they are removed and cleaned at least weekly.

Just use it check mount then I don't see it when focusing on the clay

I have a Franchi Affinity which is very similar. Just has the spring around the forend and not in the stock. As you say the M2 is a lovely gun to shoot as is the Affinity.  I use mine mainly on wet days or just for a change. Keep those videos coming, really good. I used to have a Remmy 1187...
