After hitting 48 from 50 my wife said "96% not bad but could do better" Oh, she's a teacher...........

Think your Sunday is going badly? Look at my barrel..

Fair point. I am now just using the chokes supplied by the manufacturer with the gun when bought so all parts of the gun and chokes should be guaranteed.......... I hope!

Think your Sunday is going badly? Look at my barrel..

This entire thread has made me really concerned over my after market Teague chokes. Too many what-if's and the potential issues as described above. Not going to risk a £3k gun just in case a gas leak occurs past a choke and blows the barrel!  I have replaced them with the OEM chokes and will...

Think your Sunday is going badly? Look at my barrel..

I had a similar issue with a Browning DS Teague choke, spoke with Teague and they sent me a replacement one, problem solved. So far very impressed with Teague chokes

Choke cleaning... Meths or white spirit??

Really, no wonder.  and that is probably why grease is recommended.  I follow the guns manual and oil my threads lightly and never had an issue, but they are removed and cleaned at least weekly.

Choke cleaning... Meths or white spirit??

Am I missing something here, my chokes never seem to get that dirty or crusted?   Is the issue burnt carbon or plastic residue?   I have only shot fibre through my guns and they never seem to get dirty even after a few hundred through them before I clean them.  I usually remove them and wipe...

    Semi auto for clays

I have been massively re-thinking my options.    I have a B725 Black Edition for sporting most of the time. For bad weather I shoot a Franchi Affinity -  took it out yesterday and shot really well with it. I also have a lightweight Benelli semi with very pretty inlays and grade 3 wood -  this...

    Semi auto for clays

Quick question  Is the Beretta Outlander similar to the 303 or would a more dedicated clay shooting model be better?

Thanks for the replies, looks like Beretta is a firm favourite. I'll have to do some research

    Semi auto for clays

Can anyone recommend a semi auto for sporting clays and skeet. Mainly as a 2nd gun to the O/U and for really bad weather use. Thanks

    Gun reviews on youtube

I have a Franchi Affinity which is very similar. Just has the spring around the forend and not in the stock. As you say the M2 is a lovely gun to shoot as is the Affinity.  I use mine mainly on wet days or just for a change. Keep those videos coming, really good. I used to have a Remmy 1187...

    Michael Diamond “legend”

I listened with great interest. It was a fascinating insight and I for one learnt a lot. And Michael was so self demeaning and modest, what a nice gent. Looking forward to the next one.

    Steel shot debate.

So a fixed choke Miroku 1/2 & 3/4 would be OK according to the above review!  If Ben reads this please can you copy in a link for the review, thanks

    Steel shot debate.

Confused, I thought steel should be shot with a 1/2 or less ?

    Browning ultra xs Pro

Lovely thread on D2.  I used to be on D2 a lot, had 3 Defenders, 300tdi, Puma 2.4 90 and a Puma 2.2 110.  Now all sold but I made many mods to them and loved driving them all over Europe etc. Each was sold for a hansome profit. And......believe it or not -  none of them leaked. This the 110 in...
