    Vari focal glasses

No -  bi-focals, a very different set up to varifocals bi-focals have 2 seperate sections for 2 different lense strengths Varifocals have 2 or 3 different strength 'hot spots' and then blend the lense between these areas which will/can distort vision. Bi-focals wont do that. The above is my...

    Vari focal glasses

I have been through this as well, I am long sighted and need glasses for distance as well as close vision. For shooting I have single long distance lenses but they do have a 'D' section at the bottom for close vision - score cards etc

What did you do today that’s shooting related?

I wish mine was a mid life crisis then it would have been an Audi S7 or  BMW M5 or similar. Family demands i'm afraid, and a lot more trundle then whizz !

Don't you start...…. now this thread will probably deteriorate into POI and POA debates  as well 😁

Should we all shoot 24g cartridges

No, out of the box as you call it I see a perfect snowman figure the of 8. Shoots where I look, just need to improve my mount consistency and read the clay travel better! 🙄

Should we all shoot 24g cartridges

I think you are correct, I was swapping cartridges between barrels and also swapping shooting over or under in various combinations, now I think about it I think I noticed 'more flip' when shooting the top barrel first. also the gun has fixed chokes and balances perfectly on the pin, and I tend...

Should we all shoot 24g cartridges

So.. this morning I shot a wide variety of targets and only really had one slight surprise. Recoil was much more noticeable using the 28g -  as expected. Patterns and kills were to my observation were very similar to the extent that I could not determine any real difference. Muzzle flip was...

Should we all shoot 24g cartridges

Tomorrow will be interesting as I will be out practicing with a fixed choke 1/4 & 1/2 with a hard butt plate on a wide variety of presentations and maybe a bit of skeet to finish with.  I will be comparing 24g Evo 8's with Express Power Blue 28g 8's. will I be aware of any major difference...

Should we all shoot 24g cartridges

That is an interesting comment. If you  shoot 24g or 21g should you consider  going up one choke constriction to help mitigate less shot and give you a better pattern ?  This sounds like it can really mess with your head.

Should we all shoot 24g cartridges

Funny enough I bought some today to try out back to back with some 28g when I pop out for a practice later this week

Should we all shoot 24g cartridges

Love this forum, topics tend to diverge all over the place. 😳 Going back to the original questions I am reading that 24g will break anything a 28g will but people have more confidence in 28g killing the target. Most seem to use 28g for the above reason and users of 24g or 21g use them by...

Should we all shoot 24g cartridges

Out of interest I was wondering whether people on here always shoot 28g or whether there are a substantial number who shoot 24g or even 21g. My thoughts come from the international competitions where I understand most disciplines are shot using 24g.  Might be wrong here. After some research I...
