    Article on fibre vs plastic

This might be of interest, I am not biased either way, I shoot fibre only because almost everywhere I shoot asks for fibre. https://www.sportingshooter.co, .uk/features/clay-shooting/plastic-vs-fibre-the-great-debate-1-5976018

    fibre vs plastic

Most places I shoot only use fibre so I made the decison to only buy fibre, that keeps it simple in my head. Just the choke conundrum to solve now ! 🤔

    3/4 and full

"If it ain't broken.......don't fix it!" and that is where I am coming from, I just want to make sure I have a reasonable spread of shot for close to reasonably far! Yesterday one of the targets was a rabbit quartering towards you and finished up under your feet, the stand was on scaffolding...

    3/4 and full

Reading the above posts and this article suggests I should reduce the top barrel to 1/2. Yesterday I read the miroku manual that does say the choke section of the barrels are NOT chromed to facilitate user choke preference adjustment. I'll pop into a gunsmith and get formal barrel choke...

    3/4 and full

Someone had to re-start this thread...... I have been re-debating in my very small brain whether to adjust my MK60 which has fixed 1/4 & 3/4.  The 3/4 is a tad too tight for the close stuff so do I leave them the same, adjust to 1/4 & 1/2 or adjust to 1/4 & 1/4. The debate in my...

    Grips

I had a semi-pistol grip B725 that was a lovely gun but the semi Prince of Wales grip started to cause me consistant mount problems as I also shot my MK60.  Solution -  I sold the B725 and bought another gun with a 'normal' shaped pistol grip.  I say normal because of my 3 guns they are all full...

    Auto tryout sessions in Suffolk/Cambs

I see.  On my first lesson I shot a Browning SA and O/U. The instructor wanted to show me the differences and find my preference.  This was a 2 hour stint an instructor/acquaintance so probably a little more relaxed. It ended up with me buying both. A Miroku MK60 which I still have an love...

    Varifocal or fixed?

Wow, I'd love to know where you first experienced "drinking six pints and strapping kaleidoscopes to my eyes" ?

    Varifocal or fixed?

I have worn varifocals with very good quality lenses for years but recently I have found my eyes get tired at times so I got some Specsaver bi-focals to try with the full width long vision and the D shaped reading section.  My eyes immediately felt better and I found shooting long crossers...

    Auto tryout sessions in Suffolk/Cambs

There are a few soft shooting semi auto's that you could try such as the Winchester SX3 or SX4. Recoil is hardly noticeable. Is there a good gun shop near you where you could borrow one or two and try them out? Alternatively ask around at your local club to see if a member can let you borrow...
