I managed about six days shooting, all small 50 bird ish days six guns over two syndicates and a boundary type day. Did approx 40 days beating. Protocol was followed fairly strictly at all times no issues encountered. The only down side for guns was no shoot dinner and lunch in the field rather...

Trap shooting.. I used to dip my barells as I called for the target, did this for twenty odd years before a fairly radical style change. I then ended up looking at the side of the action as I closed the gun.... probably did or do other things that I am not even aware of.

If anyone is interested in some seriously good trick shooting check out "Gould brothers" on YouTube, they usually use Winchester pump actions, in fact put that in your search for full effect as pumps are for real men, autos are for ***** cats.....🤣🤣🤣 Auto owners .... Please note smiley emoji...

Agree with this. I have had she'd loads of Beretta and nothing compares to the early 682 gold for value for money in fact I would say it's the best gun Beretta ever made. Less than 12 hundred quid gets you one, job done 👍

We are stuffed until lockdown is lifted.... what a drag. I can't mix with 20 blokes on a game day outside however I can mix with any number of folk indoors in the supermarket 🙄

Already done two days beating, have 50 plus days on 2 shoots on calendar. Corvid protocol adhered to in accordance with gov guidelines. Such as beating teams of 6, masks worn in vehicles, sanitiser used frequently etc etc. Its not been at all difficult. One has to also remember that as beaters...

One has to fanny about with various things and fads, its all part of the journey 🤣🤣

I agree. The only time i use a safety is on a peg (game) or in a hide pigeon shooting, or when roost shooting, i would never rely on a safety per se but i do use it in certain circumstances but in reality it probably is pointless because as you rightly allude to the only safe gun is a broken gun 🤔

Unsliping a gun without breaking it boils my pee, same for slipping it. There is no excuse for poor gun safety and when i am minding on a game day i drill it into them
