good thinking, as Martyn B said set it and forget it . . . but bear in mind that the day when we'll all have to use steel shot is approaching then you'll need to reset it and forget it again because steel patterns tighter than lead shot. Having multi-chokes you will at least have the option

Thumbs up for Peltor Sportac, I have been using them for years, if they touch your stock when using them adjust the height simply by sliding the ear cups upwards.

I never had a problem until perhaps a year ago after the time they were bought out by Fiocchi coincidentally? they changed the "brass" which used to have Lyalvale on the back, now they just have two stars on the back, it's the brass that sticks.

true, that IS annoying, I have been getting stuck empties from a recent batch of Lyalvale English Sporters although I have used thousands of these in the past and am not sure that the problem is caused by dirty barrels

Similar to Jonny although I'm pretty sure I'll be making the downward part of the journey next time :rolleyes:. I mostly use 1/4 and 1/2, selecting 1/2 for longer targets. I do believe that ammo choice makes a difference, but only on longer targets. I am amazed at what can be broken...
