For the sake of a few £ perhaps try a box of 24g and see if you can feel a positive difference. Small adjustments now may help in the future. However would honestly recommend the soft cheek comb which really does avoid sudden neck movement if you mismount.  Good luck 

Morning Martin, very sorry to hear you are suffering with arthritis, I have a mild case in my right hand which is eased with heat. Regards shooting I would look at all available recoil systems, I have a rubber comb raiser fitted to my CG which works very well, not sure if the same solution is...

Very pretty piece of ground with targets for all abilities. Struggled with the two stands you mentioned with the high targets, but that's down to me not reading them correctly as they where all hitable if you put the shot in the right place. Looking forward to the next shoot on the 27th

With that many incomers it sounds like the course setter ran out of ideas!

I did read the first post.................you don't know for certain all 692s have heavy triggers ................your just guessing ! 

The poor bloke hasn't even shot the gun yet and your telling him about the faults it may have. You could have not said anything and let him enjoy his first outing with it 

Doctor, I had a 682 gold e for years, not once did I have any issues with trigger pulls, I cannot think the 692 would be any different  Now get out there and have some fun with it, let us know how it goes 

Just enjoy it and don't worry about the scores 

Put back on the 25mm pad and cover the butt in nail varnish till you have a smooth finish, this should eliminate it getting caught up on your clothing  Make sure the wife has gone out first though

First time I had shot sporting at owls today. Had a great day, good variation of targets, finished on 79 only had one nightmare stand, fast orange going away followed by a slow rabbit dropped six, language was a bit colourful to say the least. Will be back next month for some more 

The pattern plate will not tell you anything, can you hold the gun completely still and aim it at the centre point, you can never be 100% sure.  IPS have given you excellent advice, follow that 

Had the same problem with neck pain , was recommended a local chiropractor a few sessions there was a massive improvement i now go once a month to ensure there is no recurrence Hope that helps
