    Tri guns

I just finished a conversation with someone struggling at getting the sight picture back after lots of changes and I mentioned tri guns (is that the spelling?) I know Julian at AGL has one as that was where I had my gun fitted for the final time. Bruce Marks, BASC coach in Peterborough has a sxs...

    Which one would you pick?

Your first gun is a sacrifice. Spend much less, get it fitted, learn, get it refitted, repeat this as you try new disciplines, and then get a much nicer gun.

    trigger freeze?

It can be either. Flinch or freeze at any point. It's as though your brain runs a program and you are not in control. It is entirely personal as to exactly what it is or how it comes about. You can avoid setting the program off by changing things, new gun, different routine, release trigger, or...

    First Gun

Get a 12G. Shoot it for two years. Buy a 20G with the money you have saved.  Roughly a third of women shoot 20G. They don't tend to be competitive clay shooters.  Shooting schools have 20Gs because it's easier to use an ill-fitting 20G than an ill-fitting 12G.

    First Gun

Your first gun is a sacrifice. If you start learning to shoot as an adult you will changed get the gun fitted to you, learn to shoot, change how you shoot as you improve and then need the gun refitted. Adam Calvert did a great piece on how you need a gun refitting properly when you have been...

    Anybody Shoot RC Cartridges?

I love RCs. I don't find them punchy, quite the opposite, but I am not a trap shooter of Jan's standing. I use RCs across the board, game and clays, when I can get them. My RC4s are my confidence boosters. Usually I shoot the cheaper RC2s.

whats the sp regarding queue jumping at straw balers ?

You don't have to be any good to enter. You have to be good to win or place.

    trigger freeze?

I have worked with people with trigger freeze. I get results, if people will do the work with me. One highly regarded gentleman who came to see me as a proof of concept is back shooting extremely well, winning and representing his country, and he didn't even finish the work with me he could have...

How does our classification system work?

So what happens if you shoot one registered in a classification period but score out of class? Say an A class shot scored 60 at one ESP registered. Does the A classification still stand?

Issues with cheeckbone bruising - expert help needed.

Fit and then user error at the top two. Take video of yourself shooting and you might capture that slight lift off the stock that we all do sometimes. Looking with your nose, not your eyes.

Coaching from a multiple world champion (a real one)

That was a bit of a rubbish statement upthread there. I've had coaching from a world champion who was not as good as the very experienced BASC coach who only holds national titles (I think). It depends entirely on the individual. I've had coaching from other world champions who are incredibly...

    Ear muffs

I too have this problem and being short of arm I can't get away with a Monte Carlo stock. I have some in-ear over the head ones, but exchanged them for Plugzz.

Recommendation for shooting coach north / north west London

Excellent update. Never been coached by Will myself so good to hear a recommendation. Sporting coaches I am willing to recommend that work in locations relevant to the OP: Becky MacKenzie - http://beckymckenzie.co.uk/ Becky impressed me when I had her as a coach at an Eriswell Lodge event. I...

    British and English Open postponed

Bit of a trend starting here for non-registereds. First one I thought it was something different, but saw two more in the local area, one was a DTL. I hope they are well attended.  Shame about the All Round. I was surprised it was cancelled so early and didn't wait for people to pick themselves...

    Newbie from London

The smaller grip on the guns for women is very popular. My stock has a fairly small grip and even though I have large hands I still appreciate it. It was very clever of the manufacturers to pay attention to that, it wasn't "shrink it and pink it", they actually did think a bit about where...

    East of England FITASC grounds

Also brings up Highwayman's, thank you.  Doesn't bring up Barrow Heath so I guess it's not the best month or year for looking at future events.
