HSE publishes risk assessment opinion on lead in ammunition restriction proposals

Umm, it's not going to be cheap. and we all know how good these agencies are at forecasting costs 🙄 🚅 4.4.2.2.1 Shooter substitution costs As in 4.4.2.1.1, the Agency anticipates that, under a derogated restriction on TS with lead shot, a variety of costs would occur directly to shooters in...

Who would you recommend and why ?

The 687 is a bit of an odd one out in that list. More of a game gun and IMO not as suited to clay shooting. If you want a beretta then It would. Come down to fit of the 684 and DT and as the DT is an older gun it's overall condition of it. (I'd rather have a newer 684 than a tatty DT)...

    Perazzi query .............

The removable trigger is in.line with an MX8 and it's choked as a trap gun. Best job is to search the Internet for pictures of an MX8 taking note of the shae of the Action. if it's scolloped and the monoblock is a square shape. It's likely to be an mx8. If yhe monoblock is rounded and/or the...

    Oxford Gun Company Issue

Never been charged storage while a gun was on the shelf for sale. The commission should cover the sales process ; advertising and placement on the shelf etc. In fact I would walk away if what you have said was ever the case. However if it had been in storage and then it was decided to sell...

    Beretta 694 Problem

What alternatives around the 694 price point are you thinking of? I bet a pound to a pinch they have all had quality issues of some sort in their history.

    Shooting after cataract surgery.

I had mine detatch nearly 2 years ago. I read up on what to do and avoid doing and what others had done and decided to wait 12 weeks. Actually due to other things it ended up around 16 weeks. It didn't affect my scores. It did cause a cataract to form and I had that done around 4 months ago...

Cartridge price increases now getting silly

Should have gone to San Fruttuoso 20 mins down the road. They are cheaper there. 😎

    Total Noob 1st Gun

This was also my understanding of the CIP regulations. Standards steel can be used in any modern shotgun using all choke constrictions. However as steel throws a tighter pattern half choke for steel is effectively throws a full choke pattern so there's no point in having more choke. One of the...

    Consultation on Firearms Licensing

I've wondered about the stance of NRA. But I guess you have to draw a firm line somewhere. Sure, ban assault rifles. Seems very very reasonable, and no one wants the horrific incidents seen in the USA and banning them would IMO help in a big way. Who needs an assault rifle? But there will...

    Total Noob 1st Gun

As Will said. A few things spring to mind. You don't yet know if the initial burst of enthusiasm will last. Hopefully it won't but After a few months you might find the sport is not for you. Plus you won't know what you want from a gun. An adjustable stock will help but Weight, Barrel length...

Bend it or make it adjustable?

I've had 2 bent. One 10 years or so ago (2012) and another 2 years ago. Never moved. Each to their own I guess. 🤔

UK gunrepairs became the importers a couple of years ago and they were doing repairs ( I had one looked at) but it's gone a it quiet since. They still have a few for sale so It might be worth giving them a call.

    The future is,

I'm not so sure about it being computer games, licence grants or the cost being too much of a threat. Kids have always had other interests that come and go. Relative cost fluctuate. It was just as expensive as it is now in the 70's and mid 80's as it is now and I don't really see much of a...

    The steel thing

Just out of interest. If say you had a high end gun. A perazzi. Beretta DT10 or a trap barrelled DT11, So5 etc. How much would getting a replacement barrels be? Would it be cost effective. Not in relation to the value of the gun as such but instead of splashing out on an equivalent new gun. Yes...

Not what we want to hear........

Yes fix the system that's in place before messing around and more likely than not make it worse.  Sorry, I went to edit a typo and  deleted most of the txt.

    Another one gone

What's the reason for closing?  I guess if it's for retirement it could be sold and contiune as a shooting ground. Shot my First 25 straight at OT there so would be sad to see it close.
