Shotgun Cartridge Price Increases - 7-12% From 22nd Febuary

It's affected me as well. I wanted to send some equipment to Italy for a service by the Manufacturer. Usually just sent courier and returned.  Due to paperwork and the additional cost it's now not practical  to do it. I also can't get a car part for a fiat. Due to the model of the car the part...

    Miroku v Guerini

It must be a regional thing. People generally  won't touch CG around here. Those that have had them changing to Miroku/Browning or Perazzi.  Basically it comes down to whichever floats your boat.

    COVID-19 and Game season 20/21

I do worry that the restriction thing will become a norm to some extent.  The anticipation is that the vaccine will bring the numbers down. Great news, however Covid will probably be around for the forseeable. The number of cases per year will depend on how long the vaccine is effective. If...

Questions regarding the rising cost of shooting

Plus there's the exchange rate. Dipped in 2007 to 8 bit time due  to the Crash. Was nearly back to a similar pre 2007 level but has really badly dipped again since 2016 due to Brexit vote. It's been pretty stable at the low level since. Who knows what will happen now the rules have actually...

Questions regarding the rising cost of shooting

I think we were in a different place prior to 2008 and had never had it so good. Economy doing well etc. Firstly the financial crash initially messed things up big time. The surge in commodity prices due to demand from china etc. and the flat rise in yearly income in the last few years in Uk...

    Oh, how I wish...

Hopefully this week we'll see a big ramp up in vaccinations. As a county, seen how it was the first to approve the roll out does seem to be slow compared to other counties.  The rate per population doesn't even match the USA which is aparrently having all sorts of issues and is being reported...

    Another shooting ground closes.

I agree more members clubs are probably  the was forward to keep up the number of opportunities to shoot. During the summer in the late 70's early 80's in out area you could find a small sporing or 10 bird  DTL shoot almost every evening in the summer often with more than one option to go to...

    Miroku actions

Yes your correct the early 6, 7000 & 3800 have long trigger guard tangs and won't fit and MK38  without modification.  The later ones (around 88, 89 and later) had the short tang and should fit the MK38. Also the early MK38 and later 3800 forend are the same (not sure about barrel profile) ...

    Another shooting ground closes.

I suspect that they are cut up and sold to a metal merchant. It means nothing to them that a grands worth of equipment gets a couple  of quid when weighed in.  I got called to a derelict building to chec why the power had hone off. Thieves had cut out 2 meters of 415v live  cable.  The risk...

    Laser projection simulator training aids

The golf one allows you to really play as you would on a course (well a flat one with good lies) with all the normal routine of preparing the shot with feel and feedback from hitting the ball with the club. I've not had a go.on one and probably don't appreciate the benefits of using one but I...

    Gun shop near North London

If I was starting out now with the intention of shooting all the variety of  clays such as skeet, Sporting or trap  and a bit game I would buy a 525 sporter or/and Trap. Both fit me (average height etc ) out of the box. Reliable, excellent build, robust  and great value. There's a few around...

    Gun reviews on youtube

The ASEs were hand made in the same workshop as the SO sidelock guns. Not in the main factory as are the DTs, So I expect they did.  Mind you,  I've seen some examples of very nice wood on  both  DT10's and 11's.  I have  a stock I used on a DT10 I no longer have that's pretty nice.

Think your Sunday is going badly? Look at my barrel..

IMO chokes are a distant second to having rhe stock dimensions of the trap.

    Covid tier system.

Yes the only one.. or with one other. As per the rules. Not walking/ running groupes of a dozen or so which is the point being made.

    Covid tier system.

After the track & trace shambles with the Excel spreadsheet (only £22bn) it's probably due to whatever mapping software they have only having county maps and not of Boroughs.

    Covid tier system.

True to a point but in Lancashire in tier 3, Lancaster (97 per 100,000) has it's health service aligned with south cumbria (tier 2) not Burnley which may as well be on the other side of the cou try distance wise at (450+ per 100,000).
