Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

Agree 100% Fingers and toes crossed 🤣🙏🏻

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

I've had this thought too. The last registered at Barbury had a low quartering out midi orange target that barely skimmed the grass. I didn't touch it. Wasn't a particularly difficult presentation, unless you were 5'5 and under. I know of a junior (a good shot) who never touched it either...

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

100% agree with this. I have the same issue with height in these stands and what can be straightforward targets for some, can become real hard work for us shorties. 🥺

    First registered shoot

A bit dated now (OK, quite a bit dated as posted in 2017!) But I wrote a blog to help others starting out, which you may find useful; https://gungirluk.com/2017/10/03/cpsa-competitions-part-2-im-ready-to-shoot-my-first-registered-competition-what-do-i-do/ Echoing others; a safe gun is...

Sporting shoots. Your personal accounts. 2022

12 out of 24 targets were orange. Admittedly 3 of them you were shooting at the underside, but that's still a lot of orange 🤔

    Sporting Shoots 2020

yes, the head felt fuggy today...but it wasn't just the prosecco fuzz...not much left of you to spot! 🤔😂

    Fiocchi Litespeed 26g

I've been using the LiteSpeeds regularly since they came out just before Christmas. Perhaps I'm having a different experience to a lot of people, as I have to say that I'm not finding any issues with recoil. I do have a danuser fitted in my gun, but in the past I've been pretty sensitive to...

Sporting Shoots; where- and how was it? (2018)

My point being, that at this particular ground there should not be a problem with setting targets that could be affected by the sun; I could count 7 areas today that were not used & in the past have been used for stands, and back then, regardless of time of day, or time of year you had fair...

Sporting Shoots; where- and how was it? (2018)

Totally agree; used to really enjoy Westfield but the last few times we've attended have been a test of whether you can actually see the target at the pick up or kill point without being blinded. If you shoot after midday you're completely hampered by the sun regardless of the darkest lens you...

    Blog for new shooters; Gungirluk.com

Apologies for starting a new thread (the old one had been archived as I'd taken sooo long to write anything again!) My site is generally aimed at beginners in Clay Shooting but I've been pleasantly surprised to hear that other more 'distinguished' shots have found my writing to be of interest at...

Sporting Shoots; where- and how was it? (2018)

Umm, cheers Rich. Very kind of you to say so, but I'm not sure many would class my bright green rain mac as "glamourous" 🤣👍🏻

Shoots you recommend for an unregistered shooter.

We shot the Royal Berkshire Shooting School Handicap Challenge yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great targets and excellent hospitality too so would definitely recommend it to others. Absolutely loved the Grouse Butt sequence, which my partner filmed me on. Below if you're interested!
