    Forend fingering & handling positions

I dont like schnabel forends  for that reason.  I hold the forend like most do  index finger running parallel with the fore end.  It's just comfortable    keeps  the wrist straight  and takes most of the cant out of my barrels. I dont think it's  important  just whatever feels right to you

Pull away method advice & help?

I dont know of any specific articles or videos. But you wont go far wrong with Ben Husthwaite videos.  Practice on a slow  crosser   insert  on or very close to the target  match speed and pull away slowly to the lead. The most important part is matching speed before pulling away.  If your used...

    Adjustable comb...Is it worth it?

Adjustable comb   iv found only good for height adjustment   very limited for cast.  You need some one that knows what there doing to have a look.  If the stock is to low you could temporary raise it   with tape and cardboard.  Same if there is too much cast.

    Browning DS Chokes....Hmmmmmm

All browning ds chokes are the same, no were near as tight as they should be. Theres lots of threads on shotgunworld about it.   Seen it with a 725, A group of us shooting a quartering bird in to a dusty bank  40-50 yards away   the pattern for the browning  was huge compared to the rest  I...

    fibre vs plastic

Theres a lot more to a shell than pattern on a plate.  The best fibre is still no match for the cheapest plastic. shoot a 30yard  chandelle  back to back fibre and plastic   and tell me there's no difference in brakes

    fibre vs plastic

There seems to be  some  kind of agenda   from inside the shooting world to push fibre wad for everything.   I can't see how plastic wad can ever be a problem for clay shooting.  is it a ply from gun manufacturers, as a lot of overbored guns out there.

    Going away effing rabbits....

I'd agree with hamster, nearly  always missed  in front (over the top)  and it's very hard to stop yourself doing it.  You really have to tell yourself  slow gun and shoot at it   (don't block it out with the barrels ) shoot when you can still see the clay  above the barrels

Definition of gun shoots where you look?

I'd say your over thinking  it..... gun shoot where you look   is more of a gun fit thing than actually shooting. There's many different opinions, stare at the bird and only the bird  is what you will hear most.....put i think most people actually look to the lead when pulling the trigger and...

    What to do?

It's possible  your aiming (looking with the gun)  when shooting gun up.  Also gun up  can show minor eye dominance issues  as the eyes come back to the rib.  Keep your eyes out on clay  and trust it

Field gun vs dedicated clay gun

Wouldn't be a huge difference in the guns you mention.  If I were in your shoes  I'd pick up a second hand  DT10  as your clay gun

    Wanted 20 bore

Most new lady shooters I see struggle with the weight of the gun. And a lightweight O&U to much recoil. I always think a semi-auto is an ideal ladies first gun. Can always change to an O&U later. Most important part is don't let the wrong gun turn them off shooting Sent from my...

    Choking on a decision....

I shoot a multi choked Beretta, in the last number of years iv only had 3/4 and full choke in the gun, hasn't hurt my scores when I miss a clay iv misread it or made a sloppy movement. If I ever change guns it will be fixed 3/4 and full or 3/4 and 3/4. I don't believe tight chokes are a...
