    Counts looking good!

The 240 acres I shoot on, for crop protection, normally has high numbers of pheasant and very low numbers of grouse. This year has low numbers of pheasant and I've yet to see a grouse. I saw my first Deer yesterday, approached within 20 yards before slowly walking away. I was in a hide shooting...

    Gun reviews on youtube

I know what you mean, mines the same, after watching your vid I tipped mine out. Its surprising the amount of stuff you accumulate and double up on. I've now lots of spare cloths for wiping down. A box of disposable earplugs, enough first aid kit to stock a shop, 2 boxes of glasses wipes, spare...

    Gun reviews on youtube

My son often tells me off for taking long range shots, or what some folk term "extreme". I think if you don't even try  there's not even a remote possibility of a hit.

    Shotkam

Shotkam is just one method of trying to improve. It's not a be all end all. Watching the posted videos on here, all you can do is pause and look. Watching in the comfort of your armchair at home on your phone or laptop is 90% different. You can watch frame by frame each shot. If you're geeky...

    Can you see the shot?

You could always fit the Shotkam facing you and smile when you're shooting. I'm only surprised someone hasn't invented a Shotkam selfie cam.🤣🤣

    Can you see the shot?

The new Shotkam has it's own wi-fi, no idea how it works but I'm sure you'll research that😆 If you wanted to you could have someone watch it live on their phone it's that quick, but obviously the Mk 1 eyeball should be watching it live, live. You could if you wanted playback after each shot or...

    Can you see the shot?

Just buy a Shotkam, you can watch each miss frame by frame and see the entire pattern dot by dot. Just press pause a few times on this video, you can see the lead, the cloud, the wad, the pattern, and ultimately the strike followed by the follow through.

    Balance question??

I have a similar problem as I can't raise my left arm above shoulder height. Holding the gun up my left arm starts to quiver after a few seconds. I need the birds in the air clearly, before mounting. In my case weighting the stock caused it to be too heavy to mount and caused problems in my...

I've not shot at Park Lodge since before lockdown but I was sure it was 0.32p. I'll not argue with you as I'm not sure. I know that when I go its usually around £150 - £180 mark each. Last time I said I had a no bird the guy who runs it came out with me to look at the trap. It was faulty and he...

Semi auto gas question. Hatsan Escort cycling

It's not the gram but the length of the cartridge that's the problem. It ejects any length and any grammage perfectly as it grips the cartridge base before throwing it out. Regardless of where I put the 65mm cartridge it's not long enough to be picked up and laid flat before the working parts...

Semi auto gas question. Hatsan Escort cycling

I have the Hatsan Escourt Supreme Max. Kept clean it cycles 24gram through to 66gram no problems. Most I've tried is 42gram and that's cos I was given them. I use it for pigeons/corvids not clays so always have 1 in chamber 2 in mag. Mine is 28" barrel. The only stoppages I get are my own...

    12g v 20g 24g cartridges

If you shoot often enough and get enough lead in the air, you'll soon see why and where you're going wrong. Go to a pay and play where you can spend as long as you want on each stand. You can try different things, experiment till it becomes natural. Use it as an unpaid lesson. A skeet stand...

All this analysis means nowt, get some lead in the air.

    Chokes

Just pick a choke, grease the thread, tighten it in and get some lead in the air. Unless you're in the 1% that's at the top of the game it'll not make much difference either way.🤪

    EJ Churchill Swinton Estate

Yorkshire folk can't/won't pay them prices. Park Lodge is 32p a clay and has "no -no birds". I find that expensive but its a  good day out occasionally.  For someone who like me is retired and fires a slab a week approximately plus pigeons it's just too much.

    Whose Broom Was It??

As a kid I went to the pictures to see 'Song of the South' withdrawn years ago now as Uncle Remus was a slave. Lovely picture but I never considered it racist, to be honest I didn't even know what racist meant. I just wanted more Brer Rabbit stories and to sing "Theres a bluebird on my shoulder"
