    Gamebore WhiteGold fibre prices

If you're not too fussy about the quad seal bit, then EJ Churchills fibre Hellfire Pro are apparently the non quad seal White Golds. £311/thou. Not sure if they hold them at the Swinton ground.

    Fioochi fblu prices

Gatton Bottom pricing is pretty good TBH. Unfortunately since they've stopped the registered shoots, I've stopped going there. I normally get mine from Park Street Guns near St Albans, who are a couple of quid cheaper than GB.

Plastic or Fibre wad 24g or 28g 7.5-6

Shooting 24g over 28g IMO is nuts. More lead, more dead. Shooting 9s over 7.5s? Depends upon the target type and presentation. If you are shooting an edge on target at distance, then you want as much kinetic energy in the pellet as possible to break the clay, otherwise they are going to bounce...

    Fioochi fblu prices

You'll struggle to beat these prices, but you never mentioned where you are https://www.mallardbarn.co.uk/products/fiocchi-cartridges/

    Recommend me a 20 Bore

If you're mainly going to be shooting clays rather than game, then I'd seriously reconsider and get a 12g over a 20g. As MartynB has already mentioned, 12g ammo significantly cheaper than 20g. As a 20g gun is normally lighter than a 12g, the felt recoil is also going to be higher on a 20. For...

    Redricks Sporting Clays

Phil, thanks for your and your teams efforts in putting on some cracking shoots. We all hope you return at a new location in the (not too distant) future.

    Skeet ranges near me

Sporting Targets near Bedford is the only one I can think of.

    Misfire

20 seconds is recommended by the CPSA, gun still in your shoulder, and pointing down range. I had a hangfire a little while ago. Pulled the trigger, gun went click. Cartridge went off around 4-5 seconds later.

    How to get better?

That's not necessarily a good thing. It can cause you to 2nd guess your plan of how to shoot the targets. It's a mistake I still occasionally make. Did it at EJ Churchills this week, stand 1 pair of driven going to the left of centre. Chap before me took them a R-L crossers instead of driven (as...

Good luck, nice ground for your first registered too.

    Reasons for missing

If I'm practicing a single target, then generally I'll only load one cartridge. Go in with a plan on how you're going to shoot the target. Foot position, visual pick up point, kill point and hold point. Get the method right, then get the lead right. If you load 2, and miss with the first, it...

CPSA Registration What next ? What to Expect ?

You can have a mate video you at a CPSA registered shoot. Barrel mounted cams are not permitted. If they were, you could be live streaming to a mate, who could be giving you coaching through Bluetooth enabled hearing protection. Unlikely, but as it's in the rules, it probably happened at some...

Bespoke Stock - Who would you choose

That's a significantly different price to what they quoted me over the phone a few years ago. Infact it was over double that for stock only with no adjustable comb. When I went to MR, there was also a Candian chap who had flown over. The price for him to get one made in Canada was insane.

Bespoke Stock - Who would you choose

I would have liked to have used MGS, but the price difference from Manuel Ricardo when I enquired left no choice.

Bespoke Stock - Who would you choose

Definitely. They also supplied different size pads to deal with winter/summer clothing

Bespoke Stock - Who would you choose

This was what I ended up from Manuel Ricardo in the above link. £2K for the stock and forend, plus travel expenses. Got the oil finish on it from Matt Hannaford of Gloss Gun Stocks on Facebook.

    Reasons for missing

I never said that at all, quite the opposite in fact. If you ask a newbie to measure x amount of lead at the muzzle, then I'll guarantee they end up focusing on the muzzle when applying the lead. Hell, the amount of targets I missed when I first started because I was subconciously checking the...
