    dog breeding

Unfortunately it's not just going to be the lack of exercise for the pooches. Separation anxiety is also going to be a big thing that I can see a lot of dogs getting rehomed over. People have been working at home now for a year and bought a pup for company. Its formative year has been spent...

Cabinet fitting - Is this ok?

And now it really starts! Beretta vs Browning vs Miroku and so on.......  Personally I went in knowing that my first gun probably wont be my last, so looked at the SP and the 525, as both have a good resale value.  Ended up with a 2nd hand 30" 525 sporting laminate, which was lucky as they...

Cabinet fitting - Is this ok?

Nice one. I'm sure my licence only took 2 weeks from the inspection/interview, but that was a couple of weeks prior to lockdown 1. Now the big question is, in 6 to 8 weeks what's going in the cabinet?

Cabinet fitting - Is this ok?

Overkill in my opinion, but I'm not the FLO. Mine is mounted above the skirting, but between where the floor joists are. Try putting a bottle jack of something similar underneath it it'll end up downstairs. If it's above a solid concrete floor then its maybe feasible, if there's enough room...

    Pilla Prescription Insert Failure

Don't the wipes still contain alcohol?

Cabinet fitting - Is this ok?

Might be an idea to fit the cabinet upside down in your case, so the locks are against the other wall. Eliminates room needed for a crowbar attack on the lock side. Or if the wall to the right of the hinged side in your picture is solid, rotate the cupboard 90 deg clockwise and fix it there.  ...

Cabinet fitting - Is this ok?

Ive got what looks like the same cabinet fitted above the skirting in a cupboard, with a skirting height gap underneath. Fixed to the brick wall with 4 off 12mm thunderbolts. FLO took one look and said "that ain't going nowhere" and left a happy man.

The Browning stock weight kit looks like it will be an easy fit in the stock bolt hole on the B525 SL,  as the stock even looks like it's been machined for the securing foot of the weight kit. Unfortunately It doesn't fit, the stock bolt hole is not at 90 degrees to the apparent foot recess...

    Pilla Prescription Insert Failure

Another genius design! Make a glasses frame which is destroyed by lens cleaner!  (Un)fortunately, depending upon which way you look at it, my lenses were that new that they hadn't needed cleaning, and they still broke. Thanks for the info, from doing a bit of reading, it appears polycarbonate...

    Pilla Prescription Insert Failure

Had some comms with the guys at Pilla today, including Philip Pilla. Turns out both style of inserts are for the X6 Outlaws. The one with the nose bridge is the original design, but according to one of the Pilla peons, there was some negative feedback about the nose bridge part obscuring some...

    Pilla Prescription Insert Failure

Depends upon how often your prescription changes. If it's rock solid, then I agree, 580's all the way. If it's not, then I only have to change the lenses in the insert, not every coloured lens I own. Plus X6 lenses, arms, even the prescription insert carrier all have a high second hand value on...

    Pilla Prescription Insert Failure

Are the insert on your husbands X6 Outlaws the same design as my broken set, or do they have the "nose bridge" like the picture I recently posted?

    Pilla Prescription Insert Failure

Can I ask if your prescription insert looks exactly like mine? There seems to be another version with an additional bridge (pictured below). Wondering if I have been supplied with an different design. The ones in the pic below look to be a more substantial design.

    Pilla Prescription Insert Failure

Decided to bite the bullet and splash out on a 3 lens set of X6 Outlaws, and as my eyesight is on par with an average mole, a prescription insert and lenses. All in all £775. This was on the 15th October. Not going to mention the retailer as yet, as they haven't had chance to respond to my...

    Browning 525sl

I've got a 30" B525SL, and although it looks like its milled to fit the balance weight, It doesn't fit. The milled recess for the fixing tongue of the balance weight is at a different angle to the stock bolt hole.  Apart from that I love mine. It is a weighty gun, but I'm 6ft 5ins and 18st, so...

    Swallowed the Pill(a)

If you're looking at the 44CMX and 52CHC, then also have a look at the 55PWC. Passed it by a few times, finally tried one on yesterday. This is now going to be my go to lens
