Overkill in my opinion, but I'm not the FLO. Mine is mounted above the skirting, but between where the floor joists are. Try putting a bottle jack of something similar underneath it it'll end up downstairs. If it's above a solid concrete floor then its maybe feasible, if there's enough room...

Ive got what looks like the same cabinet fitted above the skirting in a cupboard, with a skirting height gap underneath. Fixed to the brick wall with 4 off 12mm thunderbolts. FLO took one look and said "that ain't going nowhere" and left a happy man.

The Browning stock weight kit looks like it will be an easy fit in the stock bolt hole on the B525 SL,  as the stock even looks like it's been machined for the securing foot of the weight kit. Unfortunately It doesn't fit, the stock bolt hole is not at 90 degrees to the apparent foot recess...

Depends upon how often your prescription changes. If it's rock solid, then I agree, 580's all the way. If it's not, then I only have to change the lenses in the insert, not every coloured lens I own. Plus X6 lenses, arms, even the prescription insert carrier all have a high second hand value on...

Are the insert on your husbands X6 Outlaws the same design as my broken set, or do they have the "nose bridge" like the picture I recently posted? 

Can I ask if your prescription insert looks exactly like mine? There seems to be another version with an additional bridge (pictured below). Wondering if I have been supplied with an different design. The ones in the pic below look to be a more substantial design.

I've got a 30" B525SL, and although it looks like its milled to fit the balance weight, It doesn't fit. The milled recess for the fixing tongue of the balance weight is at a different angle to the stock bolt hole.  Apart from that I love mine. It is a weighty gun, but I'm 6ft 5ins and 18st, so...
