If you didn’t, what would you?

High Tech P gun. For the moment my black K80 is ok though. Budget no barrier I'd have an Boxall & Edmiston, round body. Sadly now second hand only as they went bust. But a thing of beauty!

    Medical Report cost

If you are a professional driver, shoot clays want life insurance, are a company director and have other hobbies that require medical sign off you can be paying 100's every year for 2, 3 or more doctors to answer the same questions and tick the same boxes on different forms that have NO...

    Clay Pigeon Routine

Prior to Covid even at registered competitions you could pick and choose the order of the stands you shot. Most grounds are implementing some sort of one way system now and would prefer that you go round 'in order' and stick to the queue.

Rib Eye steak is about £12 / Kilo wholesale. So why does your 300 gram steak ( £3 retail ) cost you £15 - £25 in a regular restaurant  ( Oh, that's a place where you go to eat, where people cook for you and serve you, You get a set table, no your lap in front of the TV, in pleasant atmosphere...

What did you do today that’s shooting related?

Drove 250 miles to fire off 80 shells. Then turned around and drove home. There's a little more to it than that but that's the gist of it!

I 'Lost' one yesterday. #Someone# left the sodding thing out and unsecured. North Wales wind turned it to scrap aluminium. The better part of 800 competition priced clays lost! ( It was a swanky umbrella! )

    What will you do ?

I'd go as far as to say that if you were stopped in Wales with your gun in the car and you weren't on necessary business you would stand a good chance of losing your ticket. Wales has just announced an increase of fines ahead of the bank holiday weekend for repeat offenders of the curfew to...

    What will you do ?

Must admit that a chance to getout to a ground and let rip is very appealing! Not intending to jump the gun but theres about 8 weeks of frustration that needs focussing on some clay! If they don't open any clay grounds I may have to dust off the ...................................... GOLF CLUBS!

All of which appear to be suspended when it's actually necessary.

    Have a look at this

Not difficult to keep a pair of carts each time you go out shooting. It's not like they take up much space. get home, toss out last weeks set and pop the new ones in the jiffy bag in a drawer.  Gun gets nicked that week then you have the very latest impressions.

What happens in a post Covid-19 world?

1 - Olympics - postponed to 2021 and then 2022 if they are not abandoned 2 - US elections? My understanding of  some articles on The Constitution is that an attempt to delay an announced election is an automatic forfeit. The 20th amendment says it goes to succession at a certain date if a...

    What will you do ?

I think a lot of clubs have looked at the average age of shooters and have made decision based largely on the risk profile of their patrons. Sensible in my opinion. and a hiatus until the restrictions are relieved seems small price to pay to keep shooting from acquiring another black mark...

    What will you do ?

Both guns cleaned and give a very liberal coating of ACF-50.  They could be in the safe for a while.

    What will you do ?

You should see North Wales. Snowdonia, Prestatyn. Caravan parks are full and they're all out and about like it was a spring break.
