    Brace yourself

I do and there is so much cheating in english sporting, and sandbagging that I stopped shooting CPSA competitions some years ago. I would guess that there will be a few people who will start using home loads at sporting shoots now the cartridge prices are getting so high?

    Brace yourself

Who would know? Have you ever had anyone ask to check your cartridges?

Does it work the other way?

Exactly, you can’t hit what you can’t see.. that has to be impossible!

Does it work the other way?

But I can be aware of the barrel without looking at it, just as I am aware of where my tennis racket when playing tennis  ,but I am watch the ball or watching the clay. Both of which I am trying to hit.

Does it work the other way?

Have you ever tried to catch a ball when looking at your hand? Give it a go and then try again but look at the ball, think this experiment will answer your question

    Another old chestnut!

If the current management team think that dropping the word pigeon from the name will make it easier to get sponsorship then perhaps the members need to change the management team. I fail to see any lack of members wanting to shoot the major competitions and in the middle of a economic downturn...

    Sporting Rule

So much cheating in sporting clays is one of the reasons I left the CPSA and don’t shoot their registered events. The ground owners need to stop using youngsters as refs and have qualified refs who are strong enough to stand up to these cheats.

Cartridge price increases now getting silly

That’s odd , my local supplier told me yesterday that the prices are now stable and he’s not aware of any planned increase 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Nordic Clays

Any one seen or tried this? Looks like it could be fun, they claim that the clays are faster and have infinitely more variety from the hand held launcher https://nordicclays.com/?lang=en Jonz

    Follow through

I think I have 25 years more experience than you have, and you need to check your facts, there were several magazines around in the late 70”s and 80”s Sporting Gun, Shooting Times and Pull all of which regularly had articles about how to improve your shooting. Napier had a range of shooting...

    Follow through

Ben, Would you please explain how you see thar the sport has evolved over the years, it’s still the person who breaks the most targets wins, we all have the same restrictions on guns and ammunition so would be interested on how you see where the evolution is. Many thanks Jonz

    fixed choke

Even as a committed Beretta user I would have to say the best value for money has got to be a Miroku

Sporting shoots. Your personal accounts. 2022

The average score for the shoot doesn’t really tell you a lot, if the majority of competitors are AA then an average of 83 would be below the AA cut off so you could claim the layout was on the tough side but without knowing what class the competitors are in, the overall average is subject to...

    advice appreciated

Once you have a gun that fits , it doesn’t matter what make it is, the miss is down to operator error, no gun on the market will alter that regardless of make. It’s down to the individual what brand they prefer, personally I would rather shoot with a Beretta but each to their own

Not if your name is George Digweed, 97 hits doesn’t seem to be too hard but then again he is an exceptional shot

Coaches / Instructors what is a “fair” rate

    Exactly my point Will 👍

Coaches / Instructors what is a “fair” rate

But it’s not just about price.  In my experience there are a lot of so called self exclaimed coaches out there who are in reality just expensive button pushers, who may (or may not) be able to tell you accurately where you missed the target. The real coaches who work with you from start to...
