    Clay shooting company Practice

So in case you missed it my name is Jon Snow, no I’m not a CPSA shooter but have been to one of your shoots some years ago,  From your comments I assume you use the “ What the market will stand” method to set your prices, why else would you quote the common prices in the area? What about...

    Clay shooting company Practice

Greed, profiteering, exploiting the market , many names for it, but Garlands and Westfields aren’t at either end of the country so to my mind it seems odd that one ground can be cheaper than the other

So it’s what the market will pay, otherwise known as greed?

Can you explain why practice at Garlands is 32 pence per clay but Westfields is 35 pence per clay ?

Ian Coleys - in decline or a one-off?

I’ve heard similar issues with this ground, it seems like it’s not just a one off, it’s no longer on my must visit list. Shame as about 20 years ago when I was working near there it was an excellent place to go to

    XS Pro Exquisite Forend Issue

Westward, I reckon you must be hankering for sponsorship from CG, you never miss an opportunity to put down Beretta and claim CG’s are perfect. So for the record I have shot Beretta for over 30 years never had any problems and no I’m not sponsored by anyone  We all have own opinions so for me...

    Another price increase

Well there’s a couple of guys that shoot in one of the clubs local to me and I assure you that their home loads are  totally indistinguishable from commercial loads. It’s only the fact that they pocket their empties rather than bin them that makes you realise they are home loading cartridges

    Another price increase

I know the FITASC & CPSA rules don’t allow homeload cartridges but how would they know?   I’ve never heard of any one having their shells checked at a shoot to make sure they aren’t home loads  But most home loaded cartridges are in a branded case, so pick one up and it says Eley or...

ESP, CPSA reg - squadding can end

How’s that going to work? Does the 11:30 squad have to complete the shoot before the non squadded shooters go out or can non squadded shooters go out at 11:45 in which case it will slow down the squadded shooters…. Confused.com….

Issues with cheeckbone bruising - expert help needed.

Lots of people claim they are gun fitters, very few know what they are talking about. Ask them who they have fitted guns for and look at what level of shooters they are working with. One of the best gun fitters is Ben H (K80Ben) Jonz

Sporting Shoots 2021. Reports and discussion.

E J Churchill’s today for the Beretta World shoot, it’s been a few years since I was last there and was impressed with the improvements made. A very enjoyable layout and few big targets but as always dropped too many of the easier ones through lack of concentration. But 10 out of 10 for both...

Yes it does, but the guidelines are changing, you can mix with other people and even meet indoors and hug people so where’s the problem? Take it you didn’t watch the shoot off for the English Open then?

Really don’t think the risk is that great when outside, 10,000 allowed to go to Twickenham yesterday so a couple of squads at a clay ground is hardly worth getting wound up about, but that’s just my view. Aren’t we supposed to be protected by the vaccine?

But you can go to the pub inside and be sat a lot less than 2m apart and that’s OK?

    English open Barbury 12-16th May

Stand 15 is left to right which is 40yds out and never gets more than 20 ft off the ground on report a right to left rabbit that again is 40 yards out, shot from the side of a 40ft trailer. Stand 10 I think, can’t be completely sure is a right to left crosser from a tower probably around 45...

    Should I ?

Haha Don’t believe that, some round here have had that approach for many many years and still find dumb customers that can’t see past a polished German bonnet badge and some clever marketing.
