On the CPSA web page under the heading ABT it states that guns must be unloaded moving between pegs, it doesn’t mention DTL.

If you leave it as is you def won’t be on here in 18 months asking how to get a stuck choke out. I would imagine there are lots of shooters who have multi choked guns but never change them.

Hope you find a decent replacement.

If it’s a “well used” gun I doubt if it is worth spending £700 for a repair job, think I would be looking for a “little used” 2nd hand gun.

So what one do you think is the smoother on recoil?

Couple of drips of 3-in-one oil on the threads works fine for me.

Sounds a bit fishy.

If years ago the Governing Bodies had made prize money to be paid out at reg shoots a percentage of entry money it would have solved the problem.  Some of the small club / unregistered shoots pay out a percentage of entry money, as entry money increased over the years, so did the prize fund.   

Used cartridges thrown into some types of bin can set the acoustic release off as they rattle about.  Most right handed people will remove spent cartridges with their right hand, so bin on the right is fairly normal.
