Northampton yesterday very good round as usual. I seem to have discovered the secret to high scores . Simply swop guns, had a cracked stock on my 682 x trap so I used my gold e hit 95,scores then dropped away. Got the x trap back yesterday and hit 91. Two weeks with each gun from now on 🤣🤣🤣
Just bought some old cartridges hope they still go off. The Olympic trap look interesting.
Don't know if you can see it but the winchester's are priced at £2.90 a box.
Hepworth today it was a weird shoot for me the closest targets shot the hardest for me and most of my squad. Finished on 171 and just crept into the money in A.
If anyone needs practice at long targets head to chalk farms extreme sportrap on Tuesday afternoon/evening. I consider myself an A class shooter with a 83% average and I hit 6x25
Got the gun out of the cabinet yesterday morning and found a crack 2" long on the head of the stock. So I took my old gun to barrow heath and shot a 95, it wasn't a hard round 3 x 97s high. But 95 is my joint personal best so it must be new gun syndrome 😄
Northampton for me as well ,I seem to be suffering from reverse confidence, if I go to a shoot feeling well and confident I shoot badly, so today I went to Northampton after just getting over covid and still not feeling 100% and I hit 94 it just seemed so easy today.
Testing at a pattern plate doesn't really tell you much because you never shoot at a stationary target with a shotgun. You will be subconsciously pushing your cheek down on the stock and lining up the rib. Try to find a stand with a straight away target neither rising or dropping at 25 yards and...
Heard last night that highwaymans has finished. Landlords decision. Simon and Mark are looking for another ground, let's hope they find something as they put on some of the best targets in the country.
Redricks also. I've finally shot stand 12 ok, 9x10 behind the first battue. Worst stands were 4 away on stand 2 behind the quick looper and Infront of the 1/4 away. And 3 away on stand 8 one rabbit jumped and missed two of the quick midi's above them I think ,apart from that it was just silly...
I last filled my 3 oil tanks in November 2020 at 29p per l. It's going to hit hard at the next fill. Luckily I don't use that much with the woodburner going every day.
