    Choke Grease

A cartridge of bearing grease from your local agricultural merchant will cost around £3 and will last you about 100 years

    Pilla -why so dear?

I find that if I shoot a good score with cheap glasses cheap cartridge's and a cheap gun it must be down to incredible talent.

    Pilla -why so dear?

If people keep buying why not ? My advice to pilla is try £1000 next year.

    Inaccurate score counts

It happens now and again. Just human error in adding them up or putting on the computer. 10 seems to be quite regular I guess it's taking your losses off 100 so 18 away turns into 72 rather than 82.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

I was hoping you were all going to say that barrow was an incredibly soft round as my mate shot 98 there Sunday and I've got all the skeet in the woods comments ready to wind him up.

    Noob Again - Lead

A chap called digweed seems to do ok with it.

    British open. Finals day.

Seems very silly to put a championship on the same time as a classification change.

    British Open, Garlands

Shot it yesterday. It was certainly on the tough side, I didn't straight a stand. Even the close ones were on full spring. I shot well below my average. Several targets were on awkward line to the cage making you come off line. Clever target setting I guess.

    First fitasc in 16 years

I never shot them but I've been told you needed a telescopic sight on your gun for some clay's.

They cannot get as many people through

    First fitasc in 16 years

As I was unclassified I went birds only. They classed me in C and would have been 2nd place ☹️

    First fitasc in 16 years

Shot my first fitasc in 16years today. The east Midlands intercounties at sporting targets. Didn't start well with a gun warning on the first peg and I missed 8 on that layout but picked up after that and finished on 81. Enjoyed it apart from the £64 birds only entry price.

    New stock

It's extremely similar and only a trained eye can the difference but it's actually a Worse Norfolk Finish.

    New stock

Well it's finished and weighs 9lb 6oz awesome on long stuff but needs driving on close fast clays

    Pre mounting sporting

I've been in A class for 14 years and I shoot gun down.  Might try gun up to see if I get into AA.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

Shot the cheddite today. Rather odd round, everything was either 20 yards and under or 45-50 yards and over. I shot the close stuff quite well and ended up on 100.  115 is leading but I think that may get beaten.

    English open sporting

I forgot to say that eriswell put a £5 food/drink voucher in every entry which I thought was a nice gesture.

    English open sporting

Shot it today. Nothing special scores wise 95 but a very good round, targets ranging from a 15 yard almost stationary rabbit to a good 60 yard looper fired off a high bank. Richard faulds leading on 115 and I doubt that will be beaten.

Eriswell look to be spending a lot of time and money putting on this event. Shooting it on Thursday.
