    Essex Masters 2023

I thought it was much better than the last couple of years.  It seemed like more effort had been put in on the course design. I shot the clays with sky behind them really well but orange clays with a dark background were a disaster. Hit 160 must try some different colour glasses.

    Guidance please

Spend the £3.4k on cartridges and entry fees. You won't shoot any better with a new gun.

    English open Nottingham

Ended up on 97 after missing three of the easiest clays. A high 1 and a high and low 7.  But the worst thing is apparently being a veteran at age 57.

Silly system. Last year it placed Richard Bunning in C class for English skeet.

    surprise !

East of England will be a severe test. Don't know how he does it but John Lee puts on clay's that look easy enough but they just don't break.

It's not supposed to look like this!

I would have thought a good gunsmith could repair that. They are either brazed or silver soldered in. £700 sounds a crazy price.

    New stock

Thought I would have a go at stock making. It's approximately 20 times more difficult than I expected. However its starting to resemble a stock now.

Cartridges , value for money versus cost

I picked up 5000 cartridges the other week and they cost more than my car and gun combined.

Sporting shoots 2023. How was it?

After an absolute disaster at East of England on good Friday with a 68 just couldn't find so many targets. I shot Northampton today hit 91 on quite a stiff round. The difference a week makes is amazing.
