I used 1/4 as a maximum for 13 years and regularly used cylinder. And all that time I had a low 80s average keeping me at the top end of A class so fairly regularly getting money in A class. For the past 3 year's I've used a 3/4 and full fixed trap gun and my average has gone up a little to 84...

Just a tool to me. Iam currently using a 1984 Beretta 682 trap X it's got marks in the wood and some rust on the barrels I clean the old grease off and regrease the knuckle every month and that's about it. I've never cleaned the barrels.

That's a daily problem for me.

Same here. My mate is AA verging on AAA and he had exactly the same problem. I reckon mossey has discovered a space time continuum.

11 it was windy but no rain. 

I've shot redricks 3 time's now and stand 12 has done me every time dropping 7x8 - 4x8 and 3x10 last time. Something very deceiving about that stand. Northampton today clay's quite wind affected but luckily never strong enough to push the gun about ( which I really hate ) finished on 86.

Thanks. Yes it was sensible, there was no silly targets but several stand's that you could drop a couple on. 

Redricks today 12 stand's of good targets slightly muddy underfoot but a good shoot I hit 89

I nothing on local to me so a 100 mile drive to Grange farm. Nice round of 13 stands with some clever targets sun was out so it didn't feel that cold. I hit 86.

Unless you're buying an adjustable comb model I wouldn't buy online. If the stock is too low or the cast is a long way out you will struggle to hit anything consistently.

I shoot a 1984 682x I have no issues with it. The OP asked for opinions on a new £3-4k gun and I would not recommend a Beretta.

Although I shoot a Beretta I couldn't recommend a new one so I voted browning. But some people cannot get on with browning/ miroku guns.

After my poor 73 last week I went to Northampton today not expecting much but to my surprise I shot 92.  You never know what is going to happen until you pull the trigger.

Redricks for me also first time there. I struggled on the same stands as you hit 7 on stand 3. 4 on stand 8 and 5 on stand 11. But stand 12 really killed my card with a 2 never hit the looper and I've no idea why. Finished on 73.

The 96 was a bit special. 

Highwaymans for me also. It's normally a good round there but this one was great. A bit disappointed to miss all the long battues but happy with 86.
