Hi Ian, this is an awful shock! RIP Fred, proper gentleman and a great trap shooter!  I last saw him at Southern Counties, must be at least eight or nine years ago. Very sad news indeed.

You’re very lucky! The only real ground we have left in Dorset is Purbeck. They have no trap there and I think the skeet range is finished too. Very sad.  The only shooting ground we have left is Purbeck. A few straw balers and that’s it.

Had a look at the trap section on here, seems to be very little activity. So where have all the trap shooters gone? 

I’ve had so many guns I should have kept mate. My old 3800 grd3 was a cracker, so was my last mx8. But that’s life as they say. Yes, 3800’s are now becoming quite rare.
