I heard this evening that Dennis Stepney, gunsmith (U.K. Gun Repairs) and a good trap shooter has died.  Anyone know if this is true?  Very sad if it is true. 😢

I’ve had adjustable stocks, now back to bog standard woodwork. Adjustable stocks are a fiddlers delight.  I’ve seen guys shoot 50 straight at ABT, next round they hit 23x25, so out comes the tool kit, adjust the stock, change the chokes! 😂 Crazy! It’s not the stock, it’s the bloke holding it...

To be honest I’m not totally convinced that the ban on lead shot is actually necessary in the first place.  Yes we all know what lead poisoning is, but how many people in the U.K. actually die of it? How many animals and fish die of it?  Ok we all know about lead pollution, they removed lead...

I think perhaps this is a case of send it back to where you bought it. These actions are simple for a proper gunsmith.  For the rest of us? Leave it to an expert! 😂

Have you tried moving the barrel selector and trying the trigger? 

Is the safety on? 

If the barrels and forend are not attached, attach them and then open the gun. If no joy, switch the barrel selector to the other barrel and then pull the trigger , then open the gun again 

The Miroku is excellent, I’ve had several. But if you are going to shoot trap, buy a trap gun. 

Ah the grail trail! 😂 Yeah did that for decades, it keeps the gun dealers in business mate. 😂
