Muller Chokes - are they as good as they claim to be?

On chokes - first you have to ❤️ what you want - second you have to trust what you want (you absorb all the commercial stuff do the internet research, do the pattern testing, shoot some clays…) - third you have to trust what you got after you got what you convinced yourself what you want 😜 If...

    Choke Choice

Before anything check the true constriction of the choke…then the quality of your cartridge - with top cartridge and 0.015 choke - there are not many clays that this combo won’t reach - moving into 0.020 area you are already well into the tighter part of the scale - just my opinion

    Purely Theoretical But…..

…France, Cyprus, Hungary, Czech…tho me looking from outside - you have everything there in UK and I wouldn’t bother

    Choke regulation recommendations please

You won't get much (but a peace of mind) by opening them to 1/2 - IMO .020 is still tight(ish) choke - I'd leave it as it is

    To Choke Or Not ?

Alright - would be nice to hear how they perform. Mine gun (1998) wasn't steel proofed either - I have e-mailed Krieghoff and they've send me the instructions regarding steel shot for mine - excerpt:

    K80 A couple of questions

My guess is handed stocks comply with the arrival of Parcours model - whenever that was - best ask Alan Rhone: https://www.alanrhone.com/index.html

    Higher visibility front beads ?

I had a whole set for the B725 ProTrap but only used the small white one. On the K80, I first replaced the large white with a small white and finally mounted a 2mm silver midbead at the end of the barrel.

    Mid level Competition cartridge

"Dirty" cartridges may also be the result of cold and damp storage conditions. Recoil is mostly dependant on velocity and weight of the shot, less on the powder type - physics - I have yet to found a super fast cartridge that is super soft... Then there is a psychics - highly subjective - it...

    To Choke Or Not ?

I bought my K80 second hand - it was originally fix-choked and multichoked later (before I bought it), later I ordered Teague bespoke thinwall extended chokes in 2x3/8 +1x 5/8 constriction. Those are best made (once you hold them you get to appreciate the marksmanship) - thin like paper, dont...

    Fibre and Choking

It depends - hardness of the shot has far more influence on pattern than wad. Less difference when shot has a high antimony percentage (hard shot). On low antimony percentage shot (soft shot) there is more difference when shooting with plastic or fibre wad. Does it matter - IMO it is just...

Shooting glasses for spec wearers ?

I have an old Pilla Sebring model. After my sight went south I went to optician here (Slovenia) and then sent the specs I got to Ed Lyons (UK). We chose the colour/tint and I have sent him the pic of me with mounted gun toward camera...Without meeting him, he supplied me with lenses that fit...
