It is quite a high comb but the easiest thing to do is visit a shop which has one in stock, comments on here are not the same as trying one. Have you contacted Browning ?

I can save you loads of money El Spavo, Comma Multi Purpose Grease £6.99 for 500gm as against £6.50 for 50gm for Schmierfix grease. Getting the last bit out of the tube is not easy 😉 I've used grease for years with no galling at all.

Funny you should mention Briley, I had a Renato Gamba which had Briley thin wall chokes, I'm sure they were titanium and they used to come loose. It was the only multi choked gun that you had to constantly check that I've owned. But I had a Kemen with Briley and they were no bother at all. 

Did you tighten the choke using the key provided or just finger tight?

Totally agree about the service provided by Simon, I've been using his glasses for a few years now, I use the Target Orange version and find them very good. I have a prescription but just have a single vision lens for distance only.

I had this problem with the adjuster, I just removed the part standing proud from the stock, the comb never worked loose, just lost the memory, not a problem really.

The  GTI would have been 3/4 and full when new. Not a multi choke..
