Unless you need the money just keep it 😄
If you sell it you will regret it as it's a much better gun than the 525.
If I went back to a Browning the best value for money is the 525 Trap One, multichoke adjustable trigger, better value that a MK 38 too.
The only trouble with the Pro Sport is...
I would just make sure that all the metal to metal parts have lubricant on them. I she can put the stock under her armpit or grip it with her arm, more leverage might be created while pushing the barrels to open the gun.
Cumbria is grim, my SGC expired on the 5th October, they received every thing required on the 19th of July. I was told by e-mail as I asked when would I have my new SG possibly after December as they are renewing those whose tickets expired in May.
Not good at all, in the last 15 years I've...
Glad to hear it's sorted. It would be a good idea to rub some boiled linseed oil on the inside of the forend as it has not been oiled at the factory and the wood is very dry and unprotected.
I will do no harm to gently tap the latch closed, just lube where there is metal to metal contact. I would check that the stock bolt is tight to. When new everything is a tight fit on these guns.
Check that the screws in the forend are tight that hold the latch on. Swollen wood can sometimes cause the same problem where it touches the barrels at the very front of the forend.
I used to have a Remington Tournament Trap shotgun and used it to shoot DTL, when men were men and not the whingers that they are today, moaning about empties flying about 😱
I still have a 21 year old Beretta 391 30" fitted with a recoil reducer in the safe as a back up gun, you can shoot that...
I agree, I cut the stock so as I could get my thumb behind the grip, but the XS is much easier to shoot even with some weights on it it's 8 ounces lighter than the Pro Sport which is a big difference at my age.
I exchanged a very heavy but nice to shoot a 32" Pro Sport for an XS PRO just like yours, just get the balance right and you have one of the best sporter's made.
Honestly Lloyd,
Compared to a well balanced XS PRO, any Blaser is numb, a bit like a fence post to be honest and I've owned a few F3's so I do have some idea what they are like, the tall clumsy action is what makes the Browning/Miroku handle well.😉
