    Kids - Selfish B*****

Yep. Son and heir, as you put it, was born 19 months ago. My freedom to go shooting has all but disappeared since about a month before that. I can't begrudge him the fact, but sometimes, quietly, I do.

    Hello from Cambridgeshire

Hi! Midweek at CGC sounds like a good idea to me. Drop me a note if you want to meet up for a few stands sometime. Thanks Liz @ehb102

I need to get out more

I can sympathise - it's been a long while since I went out and shot (and since I last posted on here). An increase in work commitments, my main midweek shooting buddy changing job and jacking-in shooting, and the arrival of a baby, have all contributed to me not making or finding the time to go...

@salopian why do you say game keepers and loaders? Not for clay shooters? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    fabarm

I've got a Fabarm Axis sporter, does the job, comfortable to use, no complaints at the moment. Made by Guerini these days. Worth trying them.

Sporting shoots. Where - and how did it go?

My first sporting competition today. Nothing registered, 60 birder charity job in Bishops Stortford. 45/60 which I'm happy with; 2x 10/10 and a 9/10 means the other stands need a bit of work... Took a while to go round, there were a lot of people shooting, but fun nonetheless. Was also great to...

    Beretta adjustable comb side screw

@BN what kind of Beretta is it? My local gunsmith reckons he probably has one or two of the right type in his odds and ends box, but wanted more details. Is the adjustable comb factory fitted or aftermarket? Can you post some dimensions of the screw in question, please? Sent from my iPhone...

    Any clay shooting near Oban?

Thanks for the suggestion @Darkside.  We're flying to and from Glasgow, so if time permits I'll stop by for a look.  Won't have time to shoot, but might explore the shop!

    Beretta adjustable comb side screw

Will probably help to have length and diameter dimensions when you contact them; the hex key size probably won't be enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Any clay shooting near Oban?

Thank you for the suggestions, gents. I'll give them a call, but it looks like we'll be there Sunday through Thursday and so miss their opening days. May have to take a camera instead of a gun... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Beretta adjustable comb side screw

Someone like this (http://www.cotel.co.uk/p/496/threaded-grub-screw-with-hexagon-socket-head-and-plastic-ball-point) might be able to help. Given the quantity you need, a phone call to enquire might yield a sample or two for postage costs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Any clay shooting near Oban?

Looking at taking a few days off in mid April with my wife, which we'll probably spend near Oban. Does anyone know/have experience of any shooting grounds (sporting or trap) within an hour's drive or so from there? Thanks! Richard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
