Funny enough the rib is thin u shaped and just pushes on, the attachment point for the rib at the monobloc is a big old lump. The bottom barrel does pivot off of the top barrel and for added weirdness you can raise or lower your bottom barrels p.o.i. Your spot on Wonko these were built by...
There is a normal monobloc and where the barrel adjuster sits it interlocks, take the adjuster out and you can bend the barrels where you like although they are very well made and stiff. This is a 45 year old design, long before adjustable ribs became the norm, it was built for Olympic trap and...
I can attest that bottom barrels that you can move are indeed confusing. I now have the bottom barrel shooting 80/20 high and the top remains 60/40 and I use it for down the line, gave me my first 25 straight ( I shoot way more sporting than trap ).
I have had mine for 6 years and agree they do seem to shoot flat. I found the standard rounded butt pad uncomfortable and my scores and comfort improved with a slightly shorter but flatter pad.
Very sad news, never met the man, but he always had a calm and witty response to questions raised on the forum, his love of a 682 Gold e also was also appreciated by a fellow devotee. Many good wishes to his family.
There are plenty of free eye muscle training apps available on the playstore if you have an Android phone, can't vouch for there design for shooting. I have been using different ones on and off with no problem and my eye dominance slip seems to be better although this could be anecdotal.
I was always told beware of the man who only shoots 1 gun, I presumed it was because they would be an awsome shot, turns out that they are generally miserable buggers who miss a lot. I only owned 1 gun for years..😁😁
Sorry about your father Lloyd it really makes you question what you feel is valuable, my father was only 72 with a good pension and 3 new grandchildren to dote over, sadly he had a massive brain hemorrhage sitting next to me at the dinner table and never regained conciousness. I had just bought...
After catching this wretched disease I am now on the mend and grateful for the love and compassion shown by family and friends, it has made me evaluate the things I used to hold important. Not missing was the most important thing when shooting now all I want to do is spend time with shooting...
Are you on any medication that may have changed your body chemistry, I have a shooting friend that is nicknamed rusty and no one let's him touch their gun. Only man I know who could turn his own Box of SnapOn spanners rusty overnight. I hope you find a cure.
Buy yourself a couple of these and put them in your cabinet. Store your gun well oiled with the barrels down in a clean dry gun slip in the cabinet. This has worked for me for many years.
When I sold my Beretta and bought a CG my mates scoffed, most of them shoot a CG now, I look beyond the badge nowadays. If the product is good value you can always add your own touch with the money saved.
